Past five years...there’s been this perfect ‘storm’ brewing in Florida between DeSantos and the Florida state legislature. You can make various points about how DeSantos did X, Y and Z....but the state legislature was the equal partner in clearing the path for him.
At this point, DeSantos on his own...doesn’t have the election-team to clear his path. He’s merely lingering around and waiting for some Trump conviction (if it were to occur) and just be the last guy standing to get the convention ‘nod’.
You're right. I've pointed that out to the DeSantis supporters who like to claim he was a one-man show when it came to fixing Florida. He was only as good as the State Legislature made him look.
