Most Americans in a new poll said they would take candidates’ abortion policies into consideration before voting them into public office.
The new CNN poll released on Tuesday found that 55 percent of U.S. adults would consider a candidate’s position on abortion as one of several important factors when voting, while 29 percent said they would only vote for a candidate who shares their views on abortion.
Another 16 percent said they do not see abortion as a major issue that would affect how they cast their ballot, according to the poll.
The survey also found that Americans hold largely the same views on the Supreme Court’s decision to overturn Roe v. Wade as they did shortly after the ruling came down last June.

They are pure unadulterated evil.
Yep. Baby murderers.
We will find out if your hypothesis is correct in deep red Ohio.

Any candidate who promotes baby-killing is off the list for me.
Any candidate who seems indifferent to baby-killing had better be REALLY strongly committed to something else good ...
Killing a baby is never safe for the baby.
Honestly, Trump’s position on abortion is far more politically popular that DeSantis’ is. It pains me to say it but political realities are what they are.
America is not a pro-life country.
Ohio got slammed today. They are predicting a 70 percent no vote. We constantly have been losing since 2018. This has to stop!
It’s not a hypothesis, but a documented, repeated fact.
It does NOT apply to every area of the country. In the San Francisco Bay Area or New York City, for example, I doubt it applies.
But nationwide it absolutely does, and a majority of times in states. It’s not really questionable.
It could change, I suppose. But so far, there is a demonstrable pro life increment.
I suspect last November’s abortion ballet measure in Kansas was an indicator.
Unfortunate so many young women think the right to kill is a priority.
