Democrats are drastically overperforming in 2023's special elections. Is it a clue for Biden vs. Trump?

Looking ahead to 2024, Democrats concede some cause for concern -- including President Joe Biden's anemic approval rating and early polls forecasting a repeat race against former President Donald Trump in which Biden either ties or trails, due in part to a notable chunk of undecided voters and apprehension over Biden's age and acuity, which he has repeatedly dismissed.

Young people are pretty much 100% in favor of abortion, pot, and homosexual marriage. The Dims have been using these issues against us in 2023 and I see no reason why they won’t win in 2024 with them.

The COVID insanity has made a sizable group very libertarian leaning, which is completely compatible with the three issues you raise.

It is possible to generally have libertarian leanings and think gender ideology is insane.

If done correctly, things might be turned around, but I see no Messiah coming forth from the GOP. We need someone who is about 75% Reagan and 25% Trump.

And we need Jesus.

Are Republicans even concentrating on how Democrats appear to be for more crime, less food, crappier appliances, less gasoline, less air conditioning, higher taxes, fewer police, more communism, less disposable income, etc.?

In the Wisconsin AD24 special- on the ground- The inertia and incompetence of Wisconsin Republican Party (RPW) led by feckless Ronna Romney Minion Brian Schimming was non reactive until internal polling said there was an issue. Dems were on the ground with a nothing to lose attitude and were swamped the candidate.
The Waukesha and Washington Co Chairs and some Germantown Trustees pulled this one out, not RPW-
With Brian Schimming as chair Wisconsin is off the board in 2024 buckle up for Jao Bai Dan regime Act II

It’s good the RNC is broke. It works against us by funding the deep state, RINO candidates. People have finally realized this and are sending contributions directly to candidates they support. No one should be contributing to the RNC.

The Democrats know from 2020 that they can commit epic fraud with no accountability.

From their point of view, they would be idiots not to double down on fraud going forward.

The only thing the people hate worse than Democrats - is Republicans.

Prepare accordingly.

Right on both counts. Another reason the 19th was a bad idea. My body my rights works for the bimbos but not for Covid shots.

We will be routed if Trump is the nominee.

We will be routed if DeSantis is the nominee.

We will be routed if Vivek is the nominee.

We will be routed.

This is the last season of the "Our Democracy" show. The finale episode is mostly written by now and it should be a real satisfying climax with the villain Donald Trump languishing in prison, along with all of his evil supporters, while kindly Uncle Joe Biden is re-elected by 180 million enthusiastic "voters". At least the ballots will add up that way.

Unless "Uncle Joe" has an unexpected blowout of his aneurism. If that happens, the show will need to finish the last episode with a replacement team. Auditions for those actors are in progress now.

There is no voting our way out of this. A significant plurality of real voters wants this. The horrible truth is that it might be a majority of the population. In any case, they are going to get what they asked for - good and hard. Unfortunately, so are the rest of us.

Ballot counts in six major cities determine the selection of the next President, and they are all firmly under control by Democrat political machines. The rest of the country does not count.

Brace for impact.

You'll notice that in 2022, they crushed the Red Senate Wave.

The cheat-by-mail-in ballots that were brought in 2020 because of the scam-demic were in full force in 2022. If you've been paying any attention to the legal case of Kari Lake, you will see what qualified as signature verification for these ballots -- a goon at a computer taking less than 3 seconds to click 'next' without scrolling down to check the signature against the one on file. One goon did this with over 100,000 mail-ins.

These mail-ins are unconstitutional because there are two different standards. If someone votes on Election Day, they have to show ID, while hundreds of thousands of cheat-by-mail-ins are clicked through without any checks. And since when is a goon at a computer qualified to make signature matches? This is something that should come before SCOTUS, and thanks to Kari Lake, it might reach them before 2024. Democrats know this and are slow-walking her legal challenges.

If cheat-by-mail-ins ballots continue to be allowed, then every future election of the presidency and congress will see the republican ahead on election night, followed by a week of counting mail-ins until the Democrat wins. We're already seeing deep red races suddenly becoming 'competitive.' Since Republican-controlled state legislatures are not doing anything about cheat-by-mail-in ballots, SCOTUS is the last chance to eliminate them.

And yet pro-lifers are Trump’s base. If he’s perceived as now pivoting on abortion and selling us out, how can he win?

You are full of crap. Trump has held the same position on abortion since he entered the race in 2015. We lose because of liars like you.

“There is no voting our way out of this. A significant plurality of real voters wants this. The horrible truth is that it might be a majority of the population.”

This is something that many, maybe most, conservatives seem to miss. Conservatives are no longer a solid majority. We’re outnumbered and losing ground.

I also question the wisdom of setting up an “echo chamber” where we block out or avoid anything that we don’t want to be true. I think this echo chamber was responsible for the disappointment in the 2022 mid-terms. Abortion was always going to be a huge factor, but many conservatives wanted to put their fingers in their ears and explain why there would be a red tsunami. The tsunami never materialized. I’m expecting 2024 to be a blood bath. I don’t think it matters who our candidate is.

No, people get that point along with the fact that a many more older voters are also godless ‘heavy on the malignant social issues’ voter.
Not my problem because thinking people who win popularity contests, Trump especially, will fix the country's issues are not getting the point.

The point is the electorate are corrupt in massive numbers and that can only be fixed from within, not catering to their degeneracy/obsession with murdering their offspring at will. Economy in and of "itself" is on a self-destructive path aided by massive spending programs that an extremely large percentage of voters want preserved that just adds to the strain on a daily basis. WE are screwed and a good lesson when future generations start to rebuild from the ground up, are why and how these degenerate voters who drove society to ruin, given the power to do so. After that, preventing that from occurring again (Which some founders of this nation understood but was not enough to prevent national suicide through the ballot box).

I don’t think it matters who our candidate is.

I have come to a similar conclusion.

I will still vote for sentimental reasons. But my principle focus now is to stay out of the blast radius as the Democrats crash the national economy and things start exploding all around us.

"Exploding" is not a metaphor. I expect considerable violence from leftist factions when they discover that a crashed economy does not have the swag they were promised, and the Democrats in power won't deliver payments to their minions. They will take out their anger on somebody, hopefully from another leftist faction.

It will all be blamed on Donald Trump and his supporters during the required "two minute hate" sessions.
