Not only is it hard to run a kangaroo court when the world is watching, but this will also finally allow the nation to hear the evidence for claiming election fraud.
I don’t always agree with the strategies that Trump and his lawyers choose to defend the myriad charges being made against him, but one of them is brilliant: Trump is demanding that his trial in Jack Smith’s poorly disguised “insurrection” case be televised. Not only is it hard to run a kangaroo court when the world is watching, but this will finally allow the nation to hear all the evidence for claiming election fraud. Given Trump's unique situation, the big question is whether the judge will bend the existing ban on cameras in federal proceedings.
The story is from last month but didn’t go viral until the last day or so. I guess that’s because back in July, before the indictment was issued, the story was hypothetical; now, the indictment is out there, so every Trump strategy matters tremendously.
This newly viral report was published on July 21 by the Independent, a British outlet that is relatively unaffected by the American media’s Pravda-esque reporting, at least when it comes to events in the U.S.:
Donald Trump’s new lawyer will ask a judge to allow cameras in a federal courtroom if the one-term president is indicted with January 6 election fraud charges by the Department of Justice.

The problem for Mr Lauro is that courtroom photographing and broadcasting are banned in federal court under the Federal Rules of Criminal Procedure.
“Except as otherwise provided by a statute or these rules, the court must not permit the taking of photographs in the courtroom during judicial proceedings or the broadcasting of judicial proceedings from the courtroom,” the rule states.

My prediction is that the “judge” will not allow cameras and will put a gag order in place to shield the show trial from the public. Then the MSM can tell the public what “really, really, we promise” happened.
Live and unedited or not at all.
Bitch ain’t gonna allow no camera unless bitch is told to do so by her DNC ‘controllers’.
Can’t let us actually see their show trial.
I agree. Televise all of these Trump trials.
It’s risky as hell with a big payout or disaster. It is a typical all in move that Trump is known for. The problem is the judge. I have no doubt she is working with Smith and they have the whole thing mapped out. She will block anything that will help Trump. I don’t know how obvious it will be to the casual observer
Even Roland Freisler allowed cameras in his court rooms.
I believe all of the J6 Stalinesque show-trials were broadcast; however, those were carefully scripted to restrict the release of perspective.
If you can see it live, it will be harder for the media to create its own narrative. They manufacture news that suits their agenda.
The DOJ will want a closed trial.
When is court?
Federal trial rules don’t apply to Congressional hearings.
Since about 95% of federal defendants plead guilty, few of them do demand it.
I believe there are some restrictions related to classified information, witness protection issues, and graphically violent or sexual testimony.
You left out “show trials”.
They’re apparently asking the SCOTUS to intervene and allow cameras.
I did not know that.
I never said they did.
I didn’t call the J6 Stalin-O-Rama a “Federal Trial.”
I just pointed out the fact that they had the J6 debacle scripted and broadcast for the mind-numbed rank and file.
.
It’s funny how a gaggle of dem bums in Congress are demanding that his trial be televised. Watch and see they will change their tune now that it’s come out that Trump also wants it televised.
