Most Americans oppose Congress authorizing additional funding to support Ukraine in its war with Russia, according to a new CNN poll conducted by SSRS, as the public splits over whether the US has already done enough to assist Ukraine.
Overall, 55% say the US Congress should not authorize additional funding to support Ukraine vs. 45% who say Congress should authorize such funding. And 51% say that the US has already done enough to help Ukraine while 48% say it should do more. A poll conducted in the early days of the Russian invasion in late February 2022 found 62% who felt the US should have been doing more.
Partisan divisions have widened since that poll, too, with most Democrats and Republicans now on opposing sides of questions on the US role in Ukraine.
A majority, but not all (68%) of those who say the US should do more to support Ukraine favor additional funding, as do 23% of those who say the US has already done enough.
When asked specifically about types of assistance the US could provide to Ukraine, there is broader support for help with intelligence gathering (63%) and military training (53%) than for providing weapons (43%), alongside very slim backing for US military forces to participate in combat operations (17%).
Republicans broadly say that Congress should not authorize new funding (71%) and that the US has done enough to assist Ukraine (59%). Among Democrats, most say the opposite, 62% favor additional funding and 61% say that the US should do more.

The inexorable slide to the US abandoning Ukraine.
They've studied history and know this, right?
The West needs to buy Ukraine lots and lots of drones. Send those drones out.
Start blowing up ports, rail lines, power substations, dams, etc. Give the Russians a dose of their own medicine.
Doesn’t matter if the people are sick of the current 12-figure giveaway of our tax dollars to the Ukraine, Congress and Biden will keep it rolling until the last Ukrainian.
Well, I’ll tell you what. Whining about it to a far left pollster should really take care of it. Sarc/
With the collapse of the Spring Summer counter-counter offensive, the tone of the propaganda is changing. No more “whatever it takes” nonsense, instead the construction of an off-ramp is being built. End this mess now so I can point and laugh at the NATO boobs.

Which is what the pro-Russia FReepers have been clamoring for since February, 2022. Well, their wish may come true.
...as people get to know just what we are financing, it’s no surprise that they’d rather not being doing it.
No doubt that the Neocon Groupies will attack me, but my point being that the more that CONSERVATIVES (i.e., Republicans, learn about Ukraine and the mess that the Neocons got us into, the less they’ll want to support it.
Who would have thought that American support was fickle for a country we have no history with…

100% of the pro American Freepers too.

In addition to have no real interests in whatsoever.
That's right, because we've been fighting proxy wars with Russia (and China) since the Korean War. When does it end? This is Europe's problem. There is no national security interest in Ukraine for the average American citizen. The only individuals that have benefited from it are the globalists, the Biden Crime Family, the politicians on both sides of the aisle, and their big donors getting rich with their investments in the military complex. The fact that there is no requirement for Ukraine, to provide accounting for all the money and military equipment that has been sent there, tells me this is nothing more than another financial scam.

When the average American said “why do we spend all that money on the space program when we need the money down here?”
wouldn’t that apply all the more to spending on Ukraine?

ROFL!! She'll have to find someplace else to make money.
Mike Pence in response said it wasn't his concern when Carlson gave voice to those objecting.
If I were interviewing, my response to that would have been along the lines if "whom do you serve, the American citizen or Zelensky? And yes, I am questioning your loyalties"
Could we not mass manufacture explosive drones of all kinds here in the US and send them to the Ukes with help precisely guiding them on target against Russia? I mean massive numbers in a race to the moon type urgent fashion. Everything within reach of those drones inside Russia would be targeted. I would think THAT would change the game a bit.

May it come true. If Zelensky had been another Trump and Putin had been allied with Biden and his fellow leftist nations, the Ukraine would be gone by now, and nobody would care about its sovereignty.

“100% of the pro American Freepers too.”
Well, I’m 100% pro-American; and I agree with giving Ukraine support to defend itself against an unwarranted invasion by a larger and stronger neighbor, especially a neighbor that has been antagonistic towards the United States for about 100 years. However, that support is not perpetual or unconditional.
And, as I have been saying since February, 2022, Russia will in all likelihood win the war, but lose the peace.
Perhaps we will find out sooner rather than later.
But, I’ll tell you: Latvia, Lithuania, Estonia, Finland, and Poland are damn glad they are part of NATO. Because the Russian bear is hungry, and forever needs feeding.
Interesting times.
