Would you prefer 100 and 40% humidity like where I live?

We have a crew from Honeywell Phoenix here and they were laughing at the Kali fear news featuring AZ people falling and getting burned in the hot streets. 😂

NWS, please tell us exactly where and how that temperature was measured and compare and contrast that to where it was measured...say 10 years ago? (Hint, they changed the protocol this year and magically, all the records are being broken.

Here in southwest Arizona, the temperature is 118 on one side of the house and 114 on the other. BTW, we are always hotter than Phoenix by 5 degrees.

It’s hot. Nobody cares. Except tourists - traffic is down quite a bit over last July. Fear-mongering climate-zombie headlines have a lot to do with that.

Malachi 4

For, behold, the day cometh, that shall burn as an oven; and all the proud, yea, and all that do wickedly, shall be stubble: and the day that cometh shall burn them up, saith the LORD of hosts, that it shall leave them neither root nor branch.

But unto you that fear my name shall the sun of righteousness arise with healing in his wings; and ye shall go forth, and grow up as calves of the stall. And ye shall tread down the wicked; for they shall be ashes under the soles of your feet in the day that I shall do this, saith the LORD of hosts.

Down the road in Escabosa it’s 85 with light rain, gentle breeze, and 20% humidity. Should be 59 in the AM. Something to be said for being NM mountains.

I was in the AZ desert from ‘85 to ‘99 and I will say it seems the monsoon isn’t really going.

Usually it is in high gear by now.

No humidity and it is gonna stay hot.

For those that never lived there, that humidity flows east to west mostly from the GOM.

Wow! They TIED THE FOURTH WARMEST!! I’m sure Guiness will have to send armed guards to protect the members that certify that record.

When I was a little kid, it got hot in the summer. Son of a gun, if it isn’t doing that again.

The official temperature is probably measured at the airport.

There are valid reasons for that - pilots need to know real time temps when they land and take off, so airports frequently have the best temp equipment in the region, and it updates minute by minute.

However, here in Seattle, our official airport temp is usually 1-3 degrees hotter than downtown, and up to 5 degrees hotter than the shady suburbs.
