The high this afternoon in Phoenix ticked up another degree to 119°F. This is the 3rd occurrence this year, 5th occurrence on record, and ties as the 4th warmest high temperature on record.

NWS, please tell us exactly where and how that temperature was measured and compare and contrast that to where it was measured...say 10 years ago? (Hint, they changed the protocol this year and magically, all the records are being broken.

Here in southwest Arizona, the temperature is 118 on one side of the house and 114 on the other. BTW, we are always hotter than Phoenix by 5 degrees.

I have lived in both Phoenix, Arizona and Houston, Texas and I can tell you 100° with 40% humidity is more miserable than 119° with 14% humidity.
