Police in Ohio unleashed a canine on a [black trucker] who had exited his vehicle with his hands raised after a traffic stop earlier this month, according to officials.
The incident unfolded on July 4 after law enforcement officers engaged in the lengthy pursuit of a semi-tractor trailer driven by 23-year-old Jadarrius Rose.

Local Miami media is using the fainting couch over this collar, because one cop on scene repeatedly said "Don't release the fog." But video of the scene clearly shows the guy with the dog was a LONG WAY from the officer giving the command.
And once the perp was under control, he was given medical attention. But of course the narrative was set.
The suspect has a record, and he reportedly blew past an inspection station.
I saw a story which said the guy was on his knees with his hands in the air. If this is true, then there was zero reason to release the dog.
he was standing with his hands up...someone screamed don’t release the dog...he did anyways. big lawsuit ahead.
Let’s get all the facts before we jump in with our mouths.
If this had been a “WHITE” man, this story would not even appear.
“Do not release the dog - with his hands up,” the trooper can be heard shouting on the video.”
Considering the source and the fact the source conveniently failed to attach said video to the story I’ll reserve judgment until I see it.
NY Post has a link to the video. He was clearly on his knees
Most K-9s are “wasis” white supremacists.
Sarcasm/
The bite was unprofessional and a violation of his civil rights under use of force law. But I’m thinking the idiot could have possibly avoided it by not leading state cops on a 20 minute chase in a semi. But that’s probably my white privilege speaking.
Interstate chases in a semi. It’s a black thing... I might not understand.
He missed the essential point of that song “convoy”. You need a thousand screaming trucks... not just one.
I heard the K-9 had a MAGA hat!
If the only tool you have is an attack dog, everyone looks like a steak.
Dogs are outstanding at tracking and catching suspects who flee on foot.
If that is not happening the dog becomes a liability.
Pepper spray is more appropriate for suspects who resist without running.
I said the same thing on another thread about this event. It appears to be bad K9 handling, but like George Floyd and Michael Brown, all of the events leading up to the arrest are ignored. The racism narrative is all that matters. It is the reason the very first word in the title of the story is ‘Black’.
He didn’t go to his knees until AFTER the dog was released.
This has been on the local news. You can hear the Highway Patrol screaming to not release the dog. It was the Circleville police that had the dog. The truck driver was complying with the HP’s orders, was on his knees with his hands up. But the local police released the dog anyways and it attacked the guy viciously.
The Circleville police are the ones in trouble.
Circleville is a city south of Columbus OH and has grown very fast in the last ten years because it is commuting distance to Columbus. That whole area is getting filled with homes, and is home to some big employers.
The K-9 handler will be thrown under the bus, just as the George Floyd cops were.
I saw the video and I could understand why the cop with the dog did NOT hear the command to stand down.
I saw a body cam video... didn't hear screaming. I did see what appeared to be a cop on the highway side trying to communicate with the cop on the other side and down the highway...maybe there is other vid?
The cop didn’t need to hear the command by the professional.
They need to arrest the dog handler for doing something that dogs are used for, to torture arrestees with a layer of deniability.
Here is the video.
