Trump supporters in New Hampshire want Vivek Ramaswamy as vice president pick: Anti-woke entrepreneur displaces Kari Lake as MAGA darling in DailyMail.com poll

Donald Trump's supporters in New Hampshire have a new favorite choice for vice president: They want youthful anti-woke entrepreneur Vivek Ramaswamy on the ticket.

He displaces Arizona's election-denying Kari Lake in the affections of MAGA world, according to a new DailyMail.com poll.

Ramaswamy, who has blitzed the early primary state with grassroots events, claims 19 percent of the VP vote ahead of South Carolina Senator Tim Scott and Lake who both take 17 percent.

It comes amid reports that Trump has cooled on Lake and days after he singled out Ramaswamy and Scott for praise while floating the idea the he could choose one of his opponents as his eventual running mate.

For his part, Ramaswamy told DailyMail.com he is in the race to win it, not settle for a runners-up prize.

Either way, it shows early state momentum for the likes of Scott and Ramaswamy, said James Johnson, who conducted the J.L. Partners poll.

'Though Vivek Ramaswamy is only the choice of four percent of New Hampshire primary voters for the presidential nomination, he has surged to the top of the table for who Trump voters want as the GOP's candidate for vice president,' he said.

'He is not the only one in contention — Kari Lake is snapping at his heels as is Tim Scott.

'But as voters settle on a top two of Trump and DeSantis in the presidential race, he does seem to be making headway in the race for Trump's attention.

'Whether he would take such a job — or if Trump would want someone with big ideas of his own in the role — remains to be seen.'

The former president told Fox News last week that he was impressed by the field running against him.

He’s my favorite. He articulates the MAGA principles and priorities better than anyone I’ve seen.

Because I’m selfish, I want her to stay in AZ.

Thanks——TOO MUCH of the wrong kind of influences.

ALSO-—HE isn’t telling people that.

We need MORE transparency-—not more secrets.

I believe she is contemplating running for U.S. Senator, not State Senator. So, she wouldn't stay in Arizona anyway.

Don't you know it's wrong to be selfish. 🙂

Lake lost her bid to be governor and her court cases. The reason doesn’t matter the optics do. In politics, optics that is perception is 9/10s of your appeal. If something happens that impacts that even if it’s wrong and outside your control, it’s almost impossible to overcome in the near term. That’s political reality. She needs to try again in Arizona and win.

Media attempt to generate interest or a consultant pushing his candidate to generate funding? While I did not find a link to the survey, the sample seems very weak given the limited information in the article: “J.L. Partners polled 591 registered Republicans and others planning to request a primary ballot from July 13 to 20. The results have a 3.9 percent margin of error.”

Well, there is this:

'Enough Is Enough:' GOP Presidential Candidate Wants To Sue WEF For Naming Him 'Young Global Leader' Without Consent

But, I still want him to explain his involvement in the WEF, if there is one.

My other concern is I want him to provide proof that he is a Natural Born Citizen, thus qualifying him to become president. No more usurpers. That proof would be him being born after his parents were naturalized, and not before.

You are not wrong.
If it wasn’t an issue why did he scrub his internet tracks. I have posted on other threads items that were archived before the scrub. He is deeply involved w/ pfizer, pushed vaccines and has amassed >$500 million from biotech with deals back & forth. The details appear somewhat shady to those who write on the industry.

Vivek is a play from pharmy to be able to force vaccines & enable a biometric database. He specifically said that vaccines should be administered regardless of consent. If he is that connected in the industry he was obviously aware of the lack of safety testing, the ill effects seen in the limited testing (and the suppress of the data) as well as the deaths in all previous mRNA testing. He is a trojan horse and an intelligent and talented actor.
If interested check the links I posted on yesterdays threads.

I could have sworn that Katie Hobbs was the current Governor of Arizona.

Kari Lake made some strategic mistakes in her campaign that cost her and could have turned the election the other way no matter what the Democrats did.

You are so right....... from A to Z.

V is trying to ingratiate himself so as to give his culture inroads .......and status.....in US politics.

Plus V is too image-obsessed......you cant have a VP who loves the sound of his voice continually vying to grab the spotlight away from the president.

Vivek is too new and untested.

We always fall for someone who talks the talk during campaign season. Pence, Trey Gowdy, Paul Ryan, etc.

Lindsey Graham does the same performance every 4 years, and Republicans fall for it.

Trump had a great deal of experience negotiating in foreign countries and on foreign Government projects. He was certainly not unknown, rather the opposite. He never scrubbed his internet tracks. The differences between the two men are stark. Look into Vivek’s money train. The money he made is remarkable and difficult to trace.

Who in your opinion would be better candidates? Just about every Nationally known Republican is criticized here on Free Republic regularly. Yet somebody is going to be Trump’s running mate. So who do you consider acceptable?

I sure hope Freepers are not deflated next year when Trump picks someone considered unacceptable.

Maybe Trump will pick someone who is not on anyone’s radar screen right now. There’s been speculation he’s going to pick someone who is currently running in the primaries. But a VP candidate does not necessarily come from other competitors for the nomination who lost out.

When I have seen him on TV he sounds and looks good. But can Desantis beat him in 2028?

There seems to be a lot of negative commentary around here but very little examples of why he has earned such opinions.

Some context please ...
