Ron DeSantis Just Parroted the Democrat Line on Jan 6
The National Pulse ^ | July 18, 2023 | JACK MONTGOMERY

On the day President Trump announced he received a target letter from Biden prosecutor Jack Smith pertaining to the events of January 6th 2021, his Republican primary competitor Ron DeSantis was heard to echo the establishment line on the incident.

“For example, I think it was shown how he was in the White House and didn’t do anything while things were going on,” DeSantis said directly echoing the Democrat-led January 6th Committee line. He added that Trump “should have come out more forcefully,” before going on to accept that “to try to criminalize that [is] a different issue entirely,” and that having a situation where “one side [is] just constantly trying to put the other side in jail” is wrong.

Contrary to DeSantis’s claims, Trump issued a video statement on Twitter during the disorder, urging protesters: “[Y]ou have to go home now. We have to have peace. We have to have law and order. We have to respect our great people in law and order.”

Twitter took down the video and permanently suspended Trump’s account. The video was not restored even after Elon Musk reinstated the account, though it can still be viewed in the Miller Center presidential archive.

Of course he did. Why do think he’s still a candidate after being dismissed by 80% of pubbie voters? He’s still a candidate because he’s carrying that Uniparty/Soros kangaroo court lottery ticket in his back pocket. RdS doesn’t care a fig about primary votes. His only concern is with his popularity among Soros local prosecuting hacks and his Uniparty allies that give him cash and who subvert Trump with coups and kangaroo persecutions.

‘“For example, I think it was shown how he was in the White House and didn’t do anything while things were going on,” DeSantis said directly echoing the Democrat-led January 6th Committee line.’

I’m a Trump supporter but this is nonsense. DeSantis was saying “he was in the White House and didn’t do anything” in response to the Democrats’ accusation that Trump was involved in an “insurrection” at the Capitol.

He did weasel a bit with the “should have come out more forcefully” part but they are framing this quote dishonestly.

Pelosi and Ray Epps had it all under control..

It seemed to be a mostly peaceful Fedzilla operation..

I would not doubt that DeSantis questioned why Trump had not been indicted for Jan 6 events. After all, getting rid of Trump from the primaries, is the only way for DeSantis go get the nomination. DeSantis (and perhaps other republican candidates) know they don’t stand a chance against Trump.

And democrats would be happy to oblige in order to make sure they don’t face Trump again, no matter how much they want people to believe that Trump is their preferred candidate to go up against.

DeSantis is correct. Trump’s family and friends wanted him to do or say something presidential in the moment. At least that’s what their supposed texts show. It took hours for him to respond.

Come out more forcefully how? Even that is BS. None of this is on Trump. Full stop. He called for peaceful protest against a fraudulent election. History suggests that it may have been the right time to call for an armed uprising but that’s not what he did. He called for a peaceful protest. He told the Rats they needed more security in the capitol. He offered, they refused. None of this is on Trump and Desanctimonius is pretending like Trump could have done anything. He posted a tweet calling on everyone to go home...guess what , they immediately took the tweet down. The garbage media wouldn’t allow the President access to the public and its questionable to me whether or not Trump had control of the government at all after the morning of January 6th. The entire narrative is hogwash and anyone who pushes that narrative is not to be considered a supporter of the MAGA movement

And the rest of the story...

Complete lie. Trump tweeted and they immediately took it down. The media decided he should have no voice. You’ve been fooled

To insinuate the peaceful Trump supporters were being violent?

“DeSantis was saying “he was in the White House and didn’t do anything””

No wonder you DeSantis-bots are DeSantis-bots. You either can’t read or can’t think.

DeSantis did not say “he was in the White House and didn’t do anything” DeSantis said: “he was in the White House and didn’t do anything WHILE THINGS WERE GOING ON.”

Best thing DeSantis could have said was nothing. He keeps making mistakes that make me question his ability to be a presidential candidate.

I think DeSwamp’s consultants and donors are trying to totally poison his political future as a Repub.

So then he has nothing to lose by running 3rd Party, and can collect the rest of the money from his “book deal”.

From Great Governor of a Great State to Just Another Sleazeball.

WTG, Ron! You’ll be lucky if anyone riding your coattails in Tallahassee gets elected or re-elected after what you’re doing.
