Protestors entered the Capitol by 1 PM. Ashley Babbit was killed at 2:44. Trump did not tweet until 4:17 PM. Why didn’t Trump tweet at 1:30 or 2:00? Maybe Babbit would still be alive if he had responded as soon as the protesters entered the building. So while you are technically correct, so is Desantis. Trump’s response was delayed and lukewarm. Nothing he should be prosecuted for, but hardly a shining example of leadership in a crisis.
