Of course he did. Why do think he’s still a candidate after being dismissed by 80% of pubbie voters? He’s still a candidate because he’s carrying that Uniparty/Soros kangaroo court lottery ticket in his back pocket. RdS doesn’t care a fig about primary votes. His only concern is with his popularity among Soros local prosecuting hacks and his Uniparty allies that give him cash and who subvert Trump with coups and kangaroo persecutions.

‘“For example, I think it was shown how he was in the White House and didn’t do anything while things were going on,” DeSantis said directly echoing the Democrat-led January 6th Committee line.’
I’m a Trump supporter but this is nonsense. DeSantis was saying “he was in the White House and didn’t do anything” in response to the Democrats’ accusation that Trump was involved in an “insurrection” at the Capitol.
He did weasel a bit with the “should have come out more forcefully” part but they are framing this quote dishonestly.

Pelosi and Ray Epps had it all under control..
It seemed to be a mostly peaceful Fedzilla operation..

I would not doubt that DeSantis questioned why Trump had not been indicted for Jan 6 events. After all, getting rid of Trump from the primaries, is the only way for DeSantis go get the nomination. DeSantis (and perhaps other republican candidates) know they don’t stand a chance against Trump.
And democrats would be happy to oblige in order to make sure they don’t face Trump again, no matter how much they want people to believe that Trump is their preferred candidate to go up against.

DeSantis is correct. Trump’s family and friends wanted him to do or say something presidential in the moment. At least that’s what their supposed texts show. It took hours for him to respond.

Contrary to DeSantis’s claims, Trump issued a video statement on Twitter during the disorder, urging protesters: “[Y]ou have to go home now. We have to have peace. We have to have law and order. We have to respect our great people in law and order.” And the rest of the story...

I’ll never vote for DeathSantis. I don’t care if Hillary is the Rat nominee.

Best thing DeSantis could have said was nothing. He keeps making mistakes that make me question his ability to be a presidential candidate.

WTG, Ron! You’ll be lucky if anyone riding your coattails in Tallahassee gets elected or re-elected after what you’re doing.

I wonder about the timeline when Trump was supposed to be in the White House during Pelosi’s staged insurrection.
PDJT and Melania left the WH at 11:30 am. It seems it was later than that when the FBI, Epps, et al., were directing patriots into the trap that has5 been set.

Back for another attempt at this BS? Pathetic.

You are really pushing this nonsense today. You really just sit home and post anti-DeSantis drivel. You’re either a 15 year old in mom’s basement or some old sad guy with nothing to do except spread lies from irrelevant sources.

Trump is facing up to four different trials in the coming year..two federal and two state. The odds are at least one of them will “take” and he will be a convicted felon.
He has trashed all of the remaining Republican candidates. His ‘scorched earth’ behavior, plays into the hands of the Democrats’ and Biden will most likely be re-elected.

Sheesh. All he had to do was be a more refined version of Trump. This means in part criticizing the deep state. Any support for J6 persecution is support for the deep state. Ron is digging his own grave.

Speaking in South Carolina today, presidential candidate Ron DeSantis blamed President Trump for the events of January 6, 2021, in Washington DC saying,“I think it was shown how he was in the White House and didn’t do anything while things were going on. Should he have come out more forcefully? Of course.”
However, DeSantis affirmed he does not believe Trump’s transgressions amounted to criminal conduct. “But to try to criminalize that, that’s a different issue entirely,” the Florida governor noted.
Governor DeSantis then tacked to his preferred position that politicians should not be criminally targeted and promised if he was elected, he would do a more reach-across-the-decorum, saying “I think that we want to be in a situation where you don’t have one side just constantly trying to put the other side in jail.”
DeSantis pledging to return civility to the Dept of Justice comes on the same day the DOJ is about to deploy yet another indictment against the political opposition of the current administration. I’m not sure the civility DeSantis requires would be afforded by the institutions DeSantis supports.
WATCH:
(New York Post – Rupert Murdoch) – […] DeSantis spoke hours after Trump disclosed, he is a target of special counsel Jack Smith’s investigation into the events surrounding the ransacking of the Capitol.
Smith has been spearheading the DOJ’s two investigations involving Trump: one into the Capitol riot and the former president’s efforts to overturn the 2020 election result, and the other into sensitive national security material kept at the former president’s Mar-a-Lago resort.
