Terrible accident for sure. I feel bad for the woman and the lawn service guy. Funny though how the family comes out of the woodwork with concerns for their homeless relative after she's gone. π€

I highly doubt some lawn guy wanted to kill a woman with his lawnmower.

i was thinking the same thing. They dont care that shes homeless and sleeping on the grass but all of a sudden they care when she’s killed.
perhaps she was trying for the 2023 Rachel Corrie award?

Also, if he was concerned about her, why was she homeless?

Justice? She was asleep in the tall grass and got run over by a bush hog. An unfortunate accident, but hardly deserving of βjusticeβ.

She was asleep in tall grass/weeds, during the day? Druggie most likely.
You lay down in tall grass and weeds in Texas, youβll only do it once. The chiggers donβt take kindly to interlopers! π«

Flash for homeless people: the world is not your mattress. Or sofa. Or toilet. (Some things just shouldnβt need to be said.)

my guess is passed out (or already dead) - not sleeping - nobody ‘sleeps’ thru an approaching lawn mover - especially the kind big enough to run over a body and not know it.
I do *a lot* of mowing with big equipment - they are loud - nobody ‘sleeps’ thru that.

Funny though how the family comes out of the woodwork with concerns for their homeless relative after she's gone. It always happens when they think theyβve won the tragedy lottery. Too bad that concern wasnβt extended toward her homelessness.

Yep, zero damages from me. If she was important to them, they would have made sure she had housing.

Just this week I saw a fentanyl zombie pass-out on the lawn of a $2 million house in an upscale area of our local city. His dirty clothes were perfect camouflage for the dark green grass

I read that the dead woman had a daughter that was being taken care of by relatives.

In China, “justice” means charging the family for damage to the lawn mower.

She called the incident an accident ... Whew--that's a relief--glad there's not a serial lawn mower terrorizing the people who sleep in parks during the daytime.
