Ron DeSantis’ presidential campaign has fired roughly a dozen staffers — and more are expected in the coming weeks as he shakes up his big-money political operations after less than two months on the campaign trail.
Those who were let go were described to NBC News by a source familiar as mid-level staffers across several departments whose departures were related to cutting costs. The exits come after the departures of David Abrams and Tucker Obenshain, veterans of DeSantis’ political orbit, which were first reported by Politico.
DeSantis has $12 million in the bank, but of that $3 million can be used only during the general election. And about $14 million of his total $12 million second quarter haul came from donors who gave the maximum legal amount. In other words, roughly two-thirds of his early donors will not be able to give directly to his campaign for the duration of the race.
Never Back Down, the pro-DeSantis super PAC, has said it will spend up to $200 million to boost the governor's White House bid and has a significantly larger staff than the official campaign.

Meatball’s paid influencers are a reflection of his (and Jill/ Casey’s) personality. He is a weird, uncomfortable dude- a factotum wholly beholden to his benefactors. Sure, getting rid of Soros stooge Pushaw is great- but its not like his ethics or personality will change- just the marketing materials.
The majority of conservatives are NOT interested in what the “establishment Repubes” are serving up.
I had signed up for a twitter account, but didn’t like the onslaught of marketing I got, so stopped logging in...
And it looks like it got turned off at some point.
I hope some of the memers start reposting on other sites. The tracking and marketing from logging in is horrible.
That’s too bad. I did find a tweet that she was apparently reprimanded on July 10. No specifics. As a registered foreign agent for the Georgia president, if for no other reason, she not be near any presidential campaign. Her history is replete with bad ideas, actions, and associations.
Hee hee.
He got some really bad advice to bite Trump’s hand.
A better choice of action if he wants to run for president now is to keep going and see if his chances improve. If Trump were to falter and lose Iowa, a lot would change.
Or, if Trump's health should decline; that is not an impossibility, even for a young man.
In any event DeSantis should start giving sincere little hat tips to Trump: “he's done so much for this country . . .”
DeSantis would not have to gratuitously use the word “great” like some do before they throw erstwhile friends under the bus; just say a couple of nice things here and there. Saying something nice about Trump would really stand out on the campaign trail about now.
ready to take over if trump falters, and if not, front runner in 28.
All can be his with a few words sincerely spoken.
And now PT is developing a ballot harvesting op.
Another, thing. He was never this foccus3d before, now he is.
A few months ago I was pro Desantis for either Trumps VP and a run for POTUS in 28 but he has proven to be disloyal to Trump and the party so he is history as far as I am concerned. If Desantis wins the primary, which is very unlikely, my wife and I will write in Trump in the general election.
WTF is Trump 2.0?
It means no more Javanka, no more globalists, and no more mr nice guy this time.
It’s not their fault DeSantis is a sh!tty candidate.
LOL, there’s no such animal.
Trump barely could find any of this GOP strategists to work for him at this stage in 2015 and his campaign was a juggernaut.
“...unless traditional Republican leadership has completely lost touch with public sentiment.”
comedy gold, here.
Meh...she was still tweeting about DeSantis 'stellar' speech at the TN GOP Statesman dinner an hour ago, I don't think she's going anywhere.
