Ron DeSantis’ presidential campaign has fired roughly a dozen staffers — and more are expected in the coming weeks as he shakes up his big-money political operations after less than two months on the campaign trail.
Those who were let go were described to NBC News by a source familiar as mid-level staffers across several departments whose departures were related to cutting costs. The exits come after the departures of David Abrams and Tucker Obenshain, veterans of DeSantis’ political orbit, which were first reported by Politico.
DeSantis has $12 million in the bank, but of that $3 million can be used only during the general election. And about $14 million of his total $12 million second quarter haul came from donors who gave the maximum legal amount. In other words, roughly two-thirds of his early donors will not be able to give directly to his campaign for the duration of the race.
Never Back Down, the pro-DeSantis super PAC, has said it will spend up to $200 million to boost the governor's White House bid and has a significantly larger staff than the official campaign.

Likely some of these people will get picked up by neverbackdown superpac
With Trump 2.0 fully emerged, it is time for him to think about getting out.
Better to get out now instead of fighting for a lifeboat seat later.
This campaign is disappointing.
Supposedly he has (or had) the blessings of the Republican establishment.
It should have been better than this unless traditional Republican leadership has completely lost touch with public sentiment.
Trump 2.0 simply makes Gov. DeSantis irrelevant in 2024.
I get emails from the Never Back Down super PAC, but I don’t read most of them. I’m not sure how influential something like that is. I think that the debates and the first two or three caucuses/elections will have as much or more impact than anything has up to this point.
If the RNC even TRIES to rescind Trump’s nomination no matter what, all hell is going to break loose and the party will be no more...
Today DeSantis had to fire a dozen staffers and I’m hearing that @ChristinaPushaw got the boot! If so, as a Trump supporter, that makes me very sad! She has assembled a team of DeSantis “influencers” that have absolutely destroyed Rod DeSantis in the eyes of MAGA and Republican voters. I don’t want her fired, I want her promoted!
DeSantis’ spokeswoman who can hardly speak only lasted a couple weeks against MAGA.. Maybe Christina can go back to Ukraine? https://t.co/ZxFDi2ENXQ— Alex Bruesewitz 🇺🇸 (@alexbruesewitz) July 16, 2023

“ unless traditional Republican leadership has completely lost touch with public sentiment”
Welcome to the party, pal.
Too little, too late.
Yawn, all campaigns have turnover. Trump’s was no different in the past. That said, I will cheer when I hear Christina Pushaw has left the campaign.
I’ll vote for him even if I have to write him in.
He is the problem. Fire himself or drop out.
I just saw your post. Did he fire Christina Pushaw. If true, that will be absolutely fantastic. I figured and wrote on FR after the offensive Pink Elephant video that she re-tweeted, her days were numbered.
LOL
The Dilley meme team will be so sad, if this is true...
Trump actually invited a bunch of them to Bedminster to hear his speech after he was indicted and when it.

No. He was being sarcastic.
Its not the consultants, its the candidate
Very annoying. I had to get my 3rd lifetime social media account- previously was on Facebook (deleted) and LinkedIn (marketing- was awful).
