Trump was a chump. Newsflash: any GOP appointment who gets 90-something votes for anything is bound to be a turd. He should have picked someone good who might have eeked through or just rotated acting directors until they acquiesced.
The treachery of Mitch and McTraitor had a lot to do with the awful appointments. They made sure Trump got no recess appointments. Seems to me he could have made interim appointments and maybe if he would have if could do it over. That said, “probably a mistake” is not what we want to hear. Wray cost Trump his second term and Trump doesn’t seem to know it. Wray made sure the steal held.
