A New York court ordered the state to redraw its congressional districts again on Thursday, opening the door for Democrats to boost their chances in the race for the House majority next year.
The appellate court ruled that the state’s redistricting commission failed to meet its constitutional obligations during the most recent redistricting cycle and must draw a new set of maps.
Republicans have vowed to appeal, but if the order holds, it would give Democrats an advantage in the new maps, as the state’s Independent Redistricting Commission holds little power. During the last election cycle, the court notes, the commission failed to submit a second set of maps to the legislature, which must approve any map the commission draws.

I have words, I am not going to put them in writing.
I guess to be fair in portioning New York, they need to include Florida, Tennessee, Arizona, Texas, and the Carolinas, in those maps, cause that’s where they are now.
Yep. We need 5 seats just to erase NY, Alabama and Louisiana.
Riggers gonna rig.
Little by little the judicial branch is killing off conservatism. Thanks to the supreme court ruling. They have just opened Pandora’s box. The majority of judges in this nation are radical leftists. We don’t stand a chance if we have to go by their rulings. One way or the other they’re going to choke us out! Funny thing is we’re letting them do it. Shame isn’t it?
The court can pound sand. Try and enforce it.
The shape of the new redistricting map will be in the overall form of a huge “D”.
Stacking the courts has consequences.
The “judgies” want to make sure the Democrazies have the elections wrapped up. They don’t want to leave anything to chance.
Enforcing this is no problem because the Democrats in the New York State Legislature will have final say on redistricting. The Democrats who control the redistricting process are happy about this Court ruling.
Can we stop pretending this is a republic with democratic elections yet?
Probably all but 3 delegates will be from NYC...
Tick tock.( The real one.)
Apparently, it not only matters who counts the votes, but also who draws up the districts… (to paraphrase another Tyrant Joe)
