The number of students who identify as LGBTQI+ at Brown University stands at just under 40% of the total enrollment, the institution’s Brown Daily Herald reports.
Latest data outlines between 2010 and 2023, identification as LGBTQI+ has almost tripled among the student body at the Providence, Rhode Island, university (from 14 percent in 2010 saying they were not heterosexual to 38 percent now).
“The Herald’s Spring 2023 poll found that 38% of students do not identify as straight — over five times the national rate ,” student newspaper reported. “Over the past decade, LGBTQ+ identification has increased across the nation, with especially sharp growth at Brown.”
Other sexual orientations have also increased over the same period at the seventh-oldest institution of higher education in the United States, with some observers countering the rise is driven by social pressures rather than sexual choices and noting bisexual identification outstrips bisexual sexual activity.
“Since Fall 2010, Brown’s LGBTQ+ population has expanded considerably. The gay or lesbian population has increased by 26% and the percentage of students identifying as bisexual has increased by 232%,” the student newspaper reported. “Students identifying as other sexual orientations within the LGBTQ+ community have increased by 793%.”
According to previous reporting by the Herald, “queer studies” are taught in several departments, the LGBTQ Center has moved into a larger renovated space and students flock to gay clubs.
The Washington Examiner reports the 38% identification tracks with research from the Center for the Study of Partisanship and Ideology, which found similar levels among elite colleges.

LGBTQA— education
Anybody who would identify as a meaningless string of letters, numbers and symbols is insane. The very acronym “LGBTQQIAAP2S+” indicates insanity. Every letter designates a word that is incompatible with the others. They don’t belong together.
A better name would be “People who don’t do sex the normal way, or don’t know which sex they are, or are insane.”
It’s impossible for anyone to know what each letter in “LGBTQQIAAP2S+” means, and it’s equally impossible to remember the insane acronym.

Brown is one of the Ivies, a day care center for children of the elite. They don’t worry about being employable.

I say this as the parent of a trans child.
The genetic defects that give rise to gender dysphoria are extremely rare. These conditions are no joke, the impact is gut wrenching, and for some it is a lifelong sentence of “otherness” the average person cannot comprehend.
It is statistically impossible for there to be a trans kid behind every bush. This is social contagion and grooming.
I hate the “trans movement” with the heat of 1,000 suns. They are using my child’s condition to push all sorts of lunacy and engage in practices that are NOT based in actual science. Transgenderism is not the “latest thing” and these morons are delegitimizing and fomenting hatred against what actually is a tiny community of people battling incurable endocrine disorders.
Drag queens are not trans. Cross dressers are not trans. There is NO justification to transition children. The medical industry knows this but it pays more to Frankenstein kids and their enablers in the media support them.
My 13 year old daughter says the same thing.

I have never read any study that identified genetic reasons for gender dysphoria, generally; which is not the same as the rare occasions of genetic reasons for malformed genitilia. MOST persons who obtain a gender dyshoria obsession do not have unformed or malformed gentilia or malformed male or female reproductive systems.
Why?
I went to MIT and Harvard, and never knowingly met a “gay” individual while I was there. (Now both schools have recognized LGBT+ groups, but they’re not 40% of the student population!)
It was only many years later that I met any “gays”.
What is wrong with Gen Z? What is wrong with Brown Admissions?
