Two civil rights organizations are launching a campaign to pressure state governments to disqualify former President Trump from appearing on ballots in 2024...The groups say secretaries of state are empowered by the 14th amendment to bar Trump from running for office because of the Jan. 6, 2021 Capitol insurrection.

Long ago I speculated here that this was part of their end game.
The overall federal trials will drag on but each state could have suits to keep Trump off the ballot.
Same with RNC as when they recognize one slate of delegates as official ones or not. A few states could have the RNC blessing for Jeb, Christie or DeSantis to be the little 15% candidate to ruin Trump.
Which he had nothing to do with.
