Excellent questions!
And the ‘public’ accomidation laws are wrong anyway. Any business owned by someone other than the government is a PRIVATE business. They should be free to sell or not to whomever they like.
Should a gay web designer be compelled by the state to design a website for a counseling service that helps people overcome same-sex attractions?
Should an Orthodox Jewish web designer be compelled by the state to design a website for Jews for Jesus?
Should an atheist web designer be compelled by the state to design a website called “Answering Atheism”?
Should a trans-identified web designer be compelled by the state to design a website on the dangers of hormone therapy and sex-change surgery?
Should a Muslim web designer be compelled by the state to design a website for a meat service specializing in pork products?
Should an African American web designer be compelled by the state to design a website selling Confederate flags?
Should a Christian web designer be compelled by the state to design an “Adultery Hookup” website?
Should any web designer be compelled by the state to design a pornography website?
Exactly!
“Michael Imperioli who posted on Instagram, “I’ve decided to forbid bigots and homophobes from watching The Sopranos, The White Lotus, Goodfellas or any movie or TV show I’ve been in.”
And Michael, please provide evidence that you speak for all others actors and workers on shows you have been in.
Should a tree-hugger web designer be forced to design a website for a logging company? Or a chainsaw sales pitch?
Should a PETA web designer be forced to design a web page for a fur coat company?
Should a gun-control-loving web designer be forced to design a website for the NRA?
It gets pretty stupid when you see through a logical lens. But that is asking too much for a lefty.
Its noticeable that these lawsuits seemingly only target one religion.
[Michael Imperioli]
“Goodfellas”
I had to look.....
Well, he certainly sounds like your typical HollyWeird Leftist
This is a great example of why I hate liberals so much. We’re constantly told that the oligopoly of the largest social media companies on the planet can discriminate against anyone at anytime for any reason, no questions asked since they’re private companies. We’re also told that an independent baker, florist, photographer, web designer, can’t refuse to do business for same sex weddings. Of course, they cheered when a florist in Tennessee refused to make floral arrangements for a GOP meeting.
[only target one religion.]
As did Barack Hussein Obama. I picked up one of his books in 2008 and randomly, but perhaps not accidentally, opened it to a page where he said (or Bill Ayers wrote):
“I came from a household where we didn’t consign 3/4 of the world’s population to Hell” - well, he obviously didn’t understand the Gospel and/or outright rejected it.
That seemed to sum up all I needed to know about him. Years later when he claimed “we are no longer a Christian nation” it was not a surprise to me.
But you couldn’t tell very many people and have them listen.
[only target one religion]
John 15:18
If the world hate you, ye know that it hated Me before it hated you.
John 15:19
If ye were of the world, the world would love his own: but because ye are not of the world, but I have chosen you out of the world, therefore the world hateth you.
1 John 3:13
Marvel not, my brethren, if the world hate you.
“perhaps gay stylists, designers, caterers, and planners should start withholding services from Christian conservatives and see where that goes.”
I’ll save them the trouble... in fact many large Christian churches have directories so congregations can bless Christian companies and services with their business.
I’m no longer a member of a large church but I cater to Christian businesses specifically, when at all possible, and there are businesses I will have nothing to do with.
I think these perverse lost souls target Christian businesses and goad them into providing service to them as an affront and take great pleasure in dragging merchants and service providers through the legal system if they refuse to comply. It’s in their nature to do so.
Now that same legal system the preverse use to punish, has correctly interpreted the law.
It is really not too far removed from “No shirt, no shoes, no service.”
how about identifying themselves as part of the freak show so all normal people can avoid any business they may own or work in.
i’d be fine with that.
i have zero interest in helping anyone on the left make any money whatsoever.
For this issue, I will take the same stand that I did a few years back when a Christian baker in Oregon was sued for refusing to bake a same-sex wedding cake.
The only reason this lawsuit happened is because the would-be customer wanted to attack Christianity. Knowing how liberal Colorado has gotten since marijuana was legalized there, if the issue was finding a web designer to create content for a homosexual website, there must be plenty of others willing to do the job.
The only thing logic and lefties have in common is that both start with the letter L
Yeah, I noticed that too.
Appears to apply only to web design.
“More extreme was the reaction of actor Michael Imperioli who posted on Instagram, “I’ve decided to forbid bigots and homophobes from watching The Sopranos, The White Lotus, Goodfellas or any movie or TV show I’ve been in. Thank you Supreme Court for allowing me to discriminate and exclude those who I don’t agree with and am opposed to. USA! USA!”
You know, I am all for seeing LBGT radicals that own businesses discriminate. If you only want LGBT customers, then state it on the door and I will spend my money elsewhere.
As Disney is learning, most of the LGBT community is not spending money on frivolous things. Most of them (IMO) are young and struggling financially.
