Colorado has a law on the books that says, in simple terms, a business open to the public can’t discriminate against gay people.
The radical right-wing majority of the U.S. Supreme Court issued a ruling last week saying that, yes, it can.
The court took the side of a web designer in Colorado who said it was her First Amendment right to refuse to design wedding websites for same-sex couples.
Arizona has a law much like Colorado’s.
Arizona Attorney General Kris Mayes announced in no uncertain terms that her office is determined to enforce it.
The Supreme Court be damned.

This is about to become the norm for the Left. The mask and gloves are off. The Constitution has been tossed out the window. This AG will openly defy the SCOTUS and NO ONE can or will stop her.
“We don’t need no stinking badges”....
No surprise about Mayes, she provides legal support for the cartels.
A pox and a curse on every Arizona cop who enforces tyranny.
The Law means NOTHING to LAWLESS Demonrats
If she’s elected, vote her out. If she’s appointed, vote the Governor out.

I think Civil War II is ahead and I really don’t think it canoe avoided. Probably end up splitting the country along ideological lines—physical lines...Florida, Texas etc.
Thank the McCain RINO GOPe for this CF
And when a local business refuses service to a Trump supporter? Or someone that progressive socialist Democrats revile.
Congress granted many states the right to exist conditioned on “perfect religious freedom”.
ATT owned this Radical Socialist Yahoo Commie News .
Stop funding Left Wing ATT .
The Left lives to stir up trouble. Agitprop is what it does best.
Conservatives wage a polite war, Libs are the Cong.
Maybe some white dude should go to a Black owned baker and request a cake celebrating the KKK.
What’s fair is fair until it isn’t fair anymore.
Don’t be so sure. This might just be the beginning of a national divorce.
The Left only ASSUMES they run the country right now. Ask Anheuser-Busch & Targét who they think might be in charge. These governors and pissy AG’s better watch what emanates out of their pie holes in knee jerk reactions to having their political apple-carts upended.
These people do not understand that the Supreme Court did not say that it’s OK to discriminate against gay people. What they said, was that a business and not be compelled to perform a service. In this case, the service is producing cakes with a gay wedding theme. If a straight couple who are friends with, a gay couple that was about to be “married,“ walked into that cake shop and asked for a gay themed cake, they would not get it. Note that they are not gay. It isn’t the person who’s being discriminated against, it is the activity in which individuals or businesses have the liberty to not engage.
Where are you would have discrimination is if the cake shop sold birthday cakes, just a standard “happy birthday, Timmy“ type of cake, and only sold it to people who were straight. A gay couple, or a gay person can walk into that cake shop and ask for such a cake, and receive it. They are not being discriminated against because they are gay, it is the cake itself that is being “discriminated against.” Freedom of speech necessarily includes the right, not to speak, and since speech also includes printing, and other forms of communication, including artwork, there is a right to not produce something that you don’t want to produce, which is absolutely necessary for a full and complete right to freedom of speech.

I use to think this comment was likely true, but not so much anymore. Remember the country elected Obama twice and Biden. I believe the tide has shifted so far left that nothing short of a form of Civil War can right the ship, and all that will accomplish is splitting the country.
Well that’s a timely post, considering who took office in Arizona in January of this year.
Please correct me if I am wrong, but wouldn’t a Writ of Mandamus force the official to follow the law or, potentially, go to jail?
“Radical right wing majority”? What the hell are those yahoos smoking down at Yahoo? What about the 1000s of far left, creepy Feral “judgies” down in the rest of the Feral Courts.
