During an interview with CBS Mornings this week, Anheuser-Busch Brendan Whitworth opened up about the controversy, admitting that “the conversation has become divisive.” ... While Whitworth did not give a clear answer on whether or not he would have partnered with Mulvaney in retrospect, he did make it clear that Bud Light will continue to support the LGBTQ community.
“Bud Light has supported the LGBTQ since 1998, so that’s 25 years. And as we’ve said from the beginning, we’ll continue to support the communities and organizations that we’ve supported for decades,” he said. “But as we move forward, you know, we want to focus on what we do best, which is brewing great beer for everyone. Listening to our consumers, being humble and listening to them, making sure that we do right by our employees, take care of and support our partners, and ultimately make an impact in the communities that we serve.”

You don’t get to be an executive in a major corporation anymore without being “Woke”.
(Bloomberg) — Anheuser-Busch InBev SA/NV, maker of beer brands Budweiser and Stella Artois, has signed a $10.1 billion debt facility that costs more to service if the company falls short on a set of sustainability targets.
It’s the largest ever ESG-linked loan, narrowly toppling a record set by Royal Dutch Shell Plc with a $10 billion transaction in late 2019. The deal also makes the Belgian brewer the biggest user of sustainability-linked loans, a category that barely existed before 2017.

Richard Nixon would be proud.... “when you have them by the balls, their hearts and mind soon follow”.
It’s time for a share holder law suit against the leadership of AB.
They have a legal obligation to operate the company in a manner the serves the best interest of the share holder.
There current actions are in clear contradiction of that duty.
The stock value of AB has declined by billions of dollars under this leadership and they clearly have not changed their behavior in light of this loss of stock value.
if we destroy the LEFTIST media
the whole house of cards comes tumbling down
water that identifies as beer
The only thing that will force them to change course would be a rebellion by their distributors.
InBev/AB has apparently failed to figure out how to simultaneously support “the LGBTQ” (who won’t stop canceling and crucifying the “fratty”) and “the fratty” (who are not going to budge off either an adolescent or at best a masculine approach toward “the LGBTQ”.
They have learned and will learn nothing.
This guy would not rule out doing it all again when asked point blank in this interview.
There is no leadership in this organization.
Correct on all points.
We are not consumers of wine or liquor, but do enjoy a beer - invariably singular - with a fine dinner. I can no longer remember what idiotic cause du jour that a certain beer conglomerate backed and then implied we were neanderthals because we disagreed, but we left "big brewing" and have never looked back. Some of the local craft/micro breweries are just as libtarded as the big ones, but they are neither isolated nor insulated from us philistines.
We have had a few cans/bottles go down the sink simply because they were not very good, but there is some really good beer being brewed out here in the sticks, and nearly all of it with more character than the dumbed-down or tarted-up swill produced by the conglomorates. InBev's flacks can be as bone-headed as they wish, because we will not drink their crap nor be lectured by them.
Doubling down on stupid. 🙄
I may have had a Bud Light once or twice a few decades ago, but not since then. I guess I am “transphobic.”
Bud Light is no longer an option. The people running the Company are insane.
I don’t care what their $ portfolio show, but everybody’s delusional. Budweiser is a very wealthy company who can do and say whatever they want. They know it and we know it. Our nation and countries still drink this crap…besides our own citizens are in an alcoholic stoop because of all the things that are happening. There’s more Americans becoming hooked on drugs and alcohol because of liberal pissingly destroying our nation by the DC Swamp NAZIS who are hell-bent on hurting and destroying America. They will never run out of money just like the devil will never run out of hatred for the human race. So you can boycott and bankrupt them until Hell freezes over ..It ain’t gonna happen. They will survive and continue to push their filth and make money. Why do you think they’re fearless and continue supporting filth from the pit of hell? Because they can.
I presume this guy is on the Board of Directors and may be held personally financially liable to stockholders for his deliberate actions that negatively affect the company’s value. Is that right?
It would be true if they only had the one product, but their diversification will support the stock.
Got it. Thanks.
They have made their choice. The most recent ad was a clear FU to the people they think are boycotting. One by one the ridiculed every “type” who they think are participating. They have decided they can become the beer of the woke Z’s.

“Continue to destroy woke, criminal, biased and racist companies, folks. Gillette, netflix, AB, starbucks, target, kohls, amazon and on and on.”
That will never work. 90+% of corporations are woke. You’d have to stop living to boycott them all at once.
A better strategy is to follow Alynsky’s advice. Pick the most egregious one and bankrupt it. Then move on to the next one. It won’t take long for the rest to get the message.
To do that we need to be organized and focused, but when it comes to organizing we suck compared to the leftists.
