During an interview with CBS Mornings this week, Anheuser-Busch Brendan Whitworth opened up about the controversy, admitting that “the conversation has become divisive.” ... While Whitworth did not give a clear answer on whether or not he would have partnered with Mulvaney in retrospect, he did make it clear that Bud Light will continue to support the LGBTQ community.
“Bud Light has supported the LGBTQ since 1998, so that’s 25 years. And as we’ve said from the beginning, we’ll continue to support the communities and organizations that we’ve supported for decades,” he said. “But as we move forward, you know, we want to focus on what we do best, which is brewing great beer for everyone. Listening to our consumers, being humble and listening to them, making sure that we do right by our employees, take care of and support our partners, and ultimately make an impact in the communities that we serve.”

We all know people like this because we work with them and have them in our extended families.
They know in their heart-of-hearts that life is empty without a sense of meaning--money and career aren't enough. The only source of meaning is religion (even if it is fabricated and fake).
They appear to be brain-dead, but the real tactic is to make traditional America submit to their doctrine.
The stock has lost $10 over the last 3 months and is still $10 more than the 52 week low. Even if AB Inbev dropped the Bud Light line, they’d still be OK. Until AB is forced into bankruptcy, we haven’t won any battles.
I don’t think they will be up, and the stock will probably slump from the Q2 earnings, but I don’t think they are going to hurt much. We will see.
Bud Lite = trans fluid.
I still will not buy ANY AB product. Whitworth can go down with the ship.
That's true. But don't forget the confused liberal, guilt-ridden agenda sympathizers.
Now you are talking over 40 percent of the U.S. population.
And that doesn't count confused fence-sitters.
There is a real market for stupidity that AB can exploit.
Plenty of other options AND zero switching cost to the consumer.
“When Dylan Mulvaney whines about tranny treatment, Budweiser comes to the rescue again.”
Like I’ve been say, the execs are SCARED regarding how to handle this mess, they know what they need to do to get profitable, but someone’s got them by the balls (so to speak), with my hunch being the EU.
They will not apologize.
They have learned and will learn nothing.
This guy would not rule out doing it all again when asked point blank in this interview.
There is no leadership in this organization
Their CEO is former CIA so he’s a known liar and more than likely a complete psychopath.
Even if it is 40%, when you attempt to appease them they will just demand more, it’s better off to just tell them to eff off long term, but that would require real leadership.
You think pandering to them now they will not just demand more later?
They were beyond stupid to step into this whole arena to begin with.
So there’s an upraised middle finger to the rest of America. Noted.
Because if things get bad enough Blackrock and Vanguard with their trillions of dollars will step in, that’s why.
Your marketing genius cost shareholders $20 billion in stock value. Mind explaining that to your board of directors?
“You think pandering to them now they will not just demand more later?”
I don’t think that way. My comment was a cautionary observation, not an endorsement.
I stopped buying Gillette products - except Old Spice (when it is on sale).
But I don’t see their volumes or profits permanently hit after their “toxic masculinity” ads.
Worst case scenario. They all get woke.
The queen of beers...
Good info for those avoiding InBev.
