Attorney General Merrick Garland defended the FBI during a press conference on Friday amid Republican frustration over the agency stonewalling their requests for information related to Hunter Biden.
“I certainly understand that some have chosen to attack the integrity of the Justice Department as components and its employees by claiming that we do not treat like cases alike,” he said, adding, “This constitutes an attack on an institution that is essential to American democracy and essential to the safety of the American people. Nothing could be further from the truth.”
Garland stated:
You’ve all heard me say many times that we make our cases based on the facts and the law. These are not just words. These are what we live by. They’re the foundation of the way we make these decisions. The agents of the FBI as well as the DEA, the ATF, our deputy US Marshals every day often at great personal risk, protect the American people and secure its safety. Our cases are based on their work. I could not be more proud to work with them.

Right now, he is making statements that clearly indicate he is either blatantly LYING, or he has a mental disorder.
It is completely irrational.
In any case, HE SHOULD NOT BE IN CHARGE OF ANYTHING.
The DOJ is biased, and since when does the Attorney General have authority to lecture us on what democracy is?
Garland is as big a liar as Bidet.
This regime is an attack on American democracy, and Lavrenti Garland is one of the generals.
In a constitutional republic, the very idea of democracy should be attacked at every single opportunity.
But even in a democracy, there is a need to be able to criticize the integrity and the act of those who exercise power “in the name of the people.”
No matter how much I have contempt for him, I will always be grateful to Mitch McConnell for keeping that radical leftist, Merrick Garland, off of the supreme court. Garland is exactly the kind of person that the founders designed the bill of rights to stop from exercising power. Garland is a tyrant, and an angry one, at that.
He is just laughing at us. He knows. He knows we know. He knows we know he knows.
That statement alone should have prompted McCarthy to sign a Warrant for his Arrest and Detainment for Contempt of Congress and America
Democracy is Mob Rule. The Loudest Voices rule.
That is why America was blessed with a republic. If we can keep it (As Benjamin Franklin in paraphrase) put it.
Garland should be impeached,
Everything is an attack on our “Democracy” except actual attacks on our Republic.
Meritless Garland is busy projecting.
He’s wrong, of course. In fact, the democrats’ political abuse of the Justice system and the Intelligence system are direct attacks on the American Republic.
Just what a guilty man attacking his own country would say.
