The Titanic tourist submersible that vanished on a trip to the 111-year-old shipwreck at the bottom of the Atlantic Ocean is believed to have run out of oxygen — but authorities pushed ahead with the search operation Thursday morning.
OceanGate Expeditions, which operates the Titan sub and whose CEO, Stockton Rush, is aboard the missing vessel, told the Coast Guard on Sunday evening that the vehicle was equipped with only 96 hours of oxygen, with the timer running out around 7:08 a.m. Thursday.
The status of the five passengers aboard the ill-fated trip remains unclear as US and Canadian officials work around the clock to attempt to locate the missing Titan sub 900 miles east of Cape Cod.
The Coast Guard on Thursday morning confirmed that a remote-operated vehicle “has reached the sea floor” and started searching for the missing sub.

I have read same comments here on this site......
With that being said, I suspect the sub experienced a structural failure and imploded long ago.
Thank you. Very interesting information.
I would rather go that way than have to endure what they would have had to go thru till the oxygen ran out. Cramped in a tin in total darnkess, sitting on the bottom of the ocean, hoping for help that never came....so sad.
I clicked your link and it took about 20 seconds but the webpage loaded up for me.
The titanium endcaps were literally glued on. With epoxy. By hand.
“Comm was lost before they got down. There is no reason they should be tangled in the Titanic because they never got there.”
No way to know that. As has been stated before the loss of communications is expected at that depth. So there are many possibilities for what happened to them. You have stated one of them. But there are other ones as well.
Yeah, I saw that.

Considering the CEO’s hubris I wouldn’t be surprised if after they recover the sub the find the controller’s 4 AAA batteries are removed and there are 4 AA batteries are on the deck.
Excellent points.
They got a bunch of college kids together and designed a lot of it, including the game controller. They didn’t want any old white guys involved. WOKE helped killed those people.

Mr. Rush made it clear, he wanted no fifty year old white guys at his company. I don’t care much for racists of the woke variety nor the neo-nazi variety.
To me, it’s no different than the people who spend a bunch of money to climb Mt. Everest. Every year, it seems, some fools don’t make it back I’m sure if the sherpas were honest, they’d say a few of these folks had no business trying to climb the summit but they smiled and took the money because it’s easier to humiliate yourself before egotistical foreigners than to go hungry all year.
Anyone with experience in submarines would have resigned.
I was at their web site on Monday. Read the specs of the Titan.
Debris field has been discovered by an ROV within the search area.
If there's a good source that should be a separate post.
Earlier today I saw a clip of Stockton Rush going over the design in a recent interview......showing the interior lighting to the reporter he proudly stated he purchased them at Camper World.......unbelievable
