Don’t know what’s up with the “present” people
RE: Don’t know what’s up with the “present” people
Cowards stick together.
During his time as a state senator in Illinois, Barack Obama voted “Present” 129 times, a deliberate act of nonvoting.
Some of his “present” votes came on contentious issues — abortion, juvenile justice and gun laws among them — and critics have suggested that Obama’s decision to avoid a “yes” or a “no” vote in those cases stemmed from political expediency. Politifact
Then in the US Senate Obama missed 37.6 % of votes in 2007 and 64.3% of votes in 2008.
213 censure votes. That means 6 republicans voted present. Who are they? We didn’t even get the 50% +1 majority.
And what could they possibly want to gain by protecting that weasel?
And as a practical matter, what does this mean? Does he lose committee assignments, seniority, does he next get expelled from Congress? Does he lose parking privileges? Cafeteria line privileges? Use of the member elevators?

“For those wondering who voted present:
members who sit on ethics traditionally vote “present” as they do not weigh in on investigations prior to them coming to committee. This is typically the case on both sides. Also, although

and I disagreed on my first resolution, he did assist me in helping with some of the votes for the new resolution that passed. Ty to all who worked together for accountability. ~ Rep Anna Paulina Luna”
What is the effect of his being censured?
He’ll have an asterisk by his name as continues his Marxist ways, while Trump gets no justice.
Nothing.
Time will tell. Baby steps
