During a portion of an interview with the Fox News Channel aired on Monday’s broadcast of the Fox News Channel’s “Special Report,” 2024 Republican presidential candidate former President Donald Trump responded to questions on why he hired so many people who he has now criticized or have criticized him by stating the overwhelming majority of people he hired were good hires, he did hire the best people, and that he “didn’t know” Washington, but does now.

Basically the majority of his cabinet picks were told if you want to be loved by the media, just go on TV and trash Trump and they did..notice Biden’s goons wouldn’t dare do that..even though they know he’s a pedophile, heck you have video of his handlers pulling him away from babies so he wont touch them
they have to go thru the nominating process
a process controlled by the swamp turtle
He also had to get nominees through McConnell’s 52 seat Senate. A Senate with John McCain, Susan Collins and Lisa Murkowski (not to mention Burr, Portman, etc.).
Then he had to get nominees through a 51 seat Senate after a Democrat won Jeff Sessions’ seat.
“Trump should break out the Boston phone book and randomly choose people next time around.”
He should consult DeSantis. MAKE AMERICA FLORIDA
That’s a lie... Everyone loved the announcement of his initial cabinet... (except tillerson) most people were begging for Bolton
Agree and Sessions did a real good job on illegal immigration. Unfortunately he recused himself from the russian collusion case when there was no reason to. It was maddening at the time but in the end it may be a blessing, considering how it helped further prove how corrupt DC and the FBI are.
We did? You warned everyone? Maybe someone can dig up those comments from back then to see who was warning everyone about these traitors. I seem to recall people on this site were praising Sessions, Pence etc...
Zackly.
If he was a real maverick he would have picked more people from the private sector. Why did we get all those swamp filth? Dumb.
No general in the army replaces all the staff under him. He replaces them over time, after testing. That is exactly what Trump did. You get surprised on the upside and downside.
But always the goal, MAGA.
There were a lot of good hires. I was in contact with some of them.

Deep State doesn’t just blatantly advertise its deep state.
“they have to go thru the nominating process”
None of his staff hires did.
Speaking of John Bolton
There’s a life lesson in disguise
Most of Trump’s appointments were highly respected people that had the support of most of us. Then we got educated to the Washington scams. On the military side, I know officers who were on the staffs of some of Trumps’ picks. They all were stunned . Those were great guys on active duty and everyone was left wondering what happened to them.
You become President tomorrow, who is you AG, SEC Def and SOS? Curious what EVERYONE here has to say about that
That’s true. Sessions was one of the only Republicans in Washington that took a consistent, unapologetic hardline against illegal immigration.
Rush made this point repeatedly. That President Trumps love of America dominates his positions but, he is not an ideologue and as an outsider when he got to DC didn’t quite grasp the hatred that The Swamp Dwellers had for the fact that he went down that escalator and totally disrupted politics as usual in our country.
Rush said in his talks with President Trump that the president was not shocked at the Dems reaction. President Trump was shocked at the Republican’s total lack of support (with some exceptions) for his winning the presidency.
He expected when he won the primaries and especially after he won the presidency that the Republicans would be 4 square with him.
He was totally unfamiliar with the term RINO. He is very very familiar with those bastards now.
Call it whatever you like.
But it's not close to true.
Here’s what we found: At least 187 Trump political appointees have been federal lobbyists, and despite President Trump’s campaign pledge to “drain the swamp,” many are now overseeing the industries they once lobbied on behalf of. We’ve also discovered ethics waivers that allow Trump staffers to work on subjects in which they have financial conflicts of interest.
Even though the Trump administration has lagged significantly behind previous administrations in appointing people for such positions, more Trump appointees were recent lobbyists than Obama appointees: Trump had 18 in his first year, while Obama had 14.
