Former Arkansas Gov. Asa Hutchinson, who is running in the 2024 GOP presidential primary, said Republicans should “back off” of “accusations” of the “weaponization of the Justice Department.”
Hutchinson told ABC on Sunday that while he disagrees with some of the DOJ’s decisions, he believes Republicans are incorrect to label the department’s indictment of former president Donald Trump as “weaponization.”

In case anyone missed it I’m southern
He’s an embarrassment to our kind
I figure he must be doing Walmart’s bidding.
What possessed this unknown guy to run for President? Is he hoping to get the job of “Cigar Store Republican” on CNN or MSNBC? I’m sure he’ll get big invites from them.
It is people like Hutchinson that are the problem with the Republican Party. They have zero values, zero backbone and are members of the “go along and get along” crowd that somehow always gives the democrats what they want. They have zero conservative genes in their body and can always be counted on to let conservatives and the country down.
Just another clueless RINO thinking he has enough smarts to be President like Biden who longed for that for years and then once he achieved that office found out he didn’t have enough brain power to be successful at it.
ASA, you are a gutless POS!
What a doofus.
“Whoever talked about Deep State before Trump?”
Nobody. It’s a relatively new term.
In the past you would see the phrase “the permanent government” which basically meant career federal employees in government departments and/or Congressional staffers.
I think this morphed into what gets called the Deep State after the creation of the Senior Executive Service and the advent of cellphones and the internet. This allowed a relatively small cadre of senior federal employees to organize as a permanent shadow government in a fashion never before possible.
This is how the cadre organized a coup against candidate Donald Trump in 2015 that continues even now. And there’s no sign that any of them will ever be held accountable despite a mountain of evidence in plain sight.
Hard to win with a handful of pundits and republican pols and maybe tucker and Elon and half the electorate apparently
Not enough in fat content uninformed Meruca
And so it goes for now
Especially with even conservative courts refusing to intervene on voting irregularities
Yeah I have no idea if there’s enough allies to win any battle at all.
Probably not. Even 50 somethings have little idea of the America that we knew growing up so they may be willing to accept the woke police state being constructed for them. Assuming that the Victoria Nuland crowd don’t manage to bring about The End of History but not quite in the way that their neocon pal Francis Fukuyama predicted.
This piece from The Last Refuge is a good elaboration on the criminal enterprise operating under the Lawfare rubric; basically what we are calling the Deep State.
The man is a Quisling.
