Former Attorney General Bill Barr said Sunday on CBS’s “Face the Nation” that former President Donald Trump’s federal charges can not be turned into a “a therapy session for a troubled man.”
Co-host Robert Costa said, “So many Republicans continue to defend him. What will it say if the party, your long-time party, puts them forward as their nominee?”

Barr is the troubled one and has been for years.
“I did not know him until recently when I went through the process of looking at people and he was my first choice from day one, respected by Republicans and respected by Democrats.” Donald Trump 12/07/2018
Why do I have the feeling that it is Barr who needs to visit a shrink?
No, he was not forced. At all.
FUBB
For me it’s more than a feeling. (Sorry, Boston)
What a creepy, scary photograph!
Re: 36 - nominees do not NEED to be confirmed.
Did you write a letter or point out the mistake before they were appointed?
Why not?
Look, we’re a team here. If you know something you need to let people know before its too late!

The anti Trump faction on Free Republic has been playing this card for awhile. They think it will help their boy..... DeSantis.
Trump won the Republican nomination and some of his appointees were Republicans who had worked in previous Republicans administrations. People like Barr.
“How dare he!”(sarcasm)
“You must have never signed the front of a paycheck, if you’ve never had employees fail at their job.”
Do you keep on signing the checks for those failed employees?
Only in the case of a Senate recess can they be confirmed without advice and consent. Not even Obama tried to get around that. Read the Constitution.
Have to admit you are right.
No one is perfect and from the beginning it looked like he had a weakness about selecting staffers.
Obama’s Eric Holder believed his main two missions were to enhance black power in America and to defend Obama without hesitation. Obama never had to stay up at night worrying about his Attorney General being fiercely loyal.
Why is Bill Barr and Andrew McCarthy repeatedly making the case for KILLING ALL THE LAWYERS? because the way I read the articles they keep writing, that’s exactly what they are advocating for. I happen to agree with the sentiment that Lawyers should be BANISHED from Society using any means necessary.

Barr to Biden:
You and I must make a pact
We must bring salvation back
Where there is love, I’ll be there’
I’ll reach out my hand to you
I’ll have faith in all you do
Just call my name and I’ll be there
—I’ll Be There by the Jackson Five
Look up Article 2, Section 2, clause 2 of the Constitution. The only way Trump was getting around that would have been recess appointments.
Anachronism.
Yeah cause Biden’s so normal.
Re: 51 - I did, apparently I’m the only one of the two that understands it. Nominated cabinet officials can serve in an -acting capacity-.

The question is, should we be putting someone like this forward as the leader of the country, the leader of the free world, who is engaged in this kind of conduct? This is not just an isolated example. Trump has many good qualities, and he accomplished some good things, but the fact of the matter is he is a consummate narcissist, and he constantly engages in reckless conduct that puts his followers at risk, and the conservative and Republican agenda at risk.”
Not a popular observation for many here, but his opinion reflects that of a possibly growing number of previous Trump voters, most of whom think that Trump would never win the general, especially in light of the behavior toward classified material.
Who is the 3rd person to the right of Bill Barr?
