As usual, Biden’s federal government is aiming for the wrong target. Twenty armed IRS agents reportedly raided a Montana gun store, but only for forms filled out by gun purchasers. The Biden administration is apparently compiling data on gun owners.
The Washington Free Beacon reported in January 2022 that the Biden administration had almost a billion of Americans’ gun purchase records in an Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms, and Explosives (ATF) database. It seems the administration is still gathering data on legal gun owners. This comes as Biden and Democrats push gun-grabbing measures and the IRS is set to hire 87,000 more agents (thank you, Kevin McCarthy). For what purpose will the Biden administration use all this data on gun sales? Are legal gun owners the next target of a weaponized federal government?
Rep. Matt Rosendale (R-Mont.) went on Newsmax’s The Chris Salcedo Show June 16, where he provided details to guest host Todd Starnes. “This is stormtrooper-type activity, and we’re not used to seeing it in our country whatsoever,” Rosendale said, describing how 20 IRS agents with ARs (i.e. ArmaLite rifles) “stormed” Tom VanHoose’s store, Highwood Creek Outfitters in Great Falls. “This is the kind of activity that demonstrates why we were trying to, in the House of Representatives, defund those additional 87,000 IRS agents,” the representative added.
Rosendale, who spoke with VanHoose, called the raid “disturbing.” He highlighted the odd nature of the raid’s goal. “IRS, right? Financial records, accounting, making sure what transactions were taking place? No. They took all of the [ATF] 4473 forms. The 4473 forms are what everyone fills out when they go to purchase a firearm, and it’s just a big disclosure to make sure that you don’t have a criminal background or other reasons where you should not be purchasing firearms.”

The tyranny of the left knows no bounds.
As usual, Biden’s federal government is aiming for the wrong target ...In their eyes and given their aims, Catherine, it is the right target.
I think all of fedgov now requires dismantling.
We need a much smaller and weaker fedgov that only handles border protection and postal service. Thats it.
There needs to be a lawsuit to get rid of 4473 forms. With NICS all they need is to know if the buyer is prohibited. It’s none of their business what the buyer is buying.
Then order all FFLs to destroy the forms they have.
Bingo.
Agreed. Form 4473 is a violation of the Second Amendment.
The Right to keep and bear arms shall not be infringed.
2A bump for later...
1968 is not a historical encumbrance.
Yeah, the federal govt needs to be dismantled and much smaller. This is not the founders vision. Americans have been lied to and believe we are suppose to have a dominating federal govt.
I overheard a person who said if they ever owned a gun store and the Feds showed up they’d be ready with lighter fluid and matches for the filing cabinets.
How so? Not clear I follow you. An encumbrance is something that restricts usage, yes?
SCOTUS ruling (Braun?) that restrictions have to meet a historical president.
“Wolverines!”
Ageed then. Form 4473 does not meet either historical encumbrance or precedent.
There are only two reasons the IRS should be looking at those FFL forms. First, if there were any firearms sold or transferred that required the $200 tax stamp, such as short barreled rifles, fully automatic firearms or suppressors. Second, if there were any self made firearms that were required by BAFT rules to be registered with an FFL and were also subject to the $200 tax stamp.
Anything else should have been by BAFT agents and not the IRS.
The US House of Representatives, should make a point of reducing the appropriation in the next IRS budget to remove funding for these kinds of operations, just to make sure the IRS gets the point. This was once done with the CDC when it started to lobby and advocate for gun control. They quickly got the message and started to behave properly.
The states back in the day were reluctant to form a federal government for this reason today
And thus, you have a gun registry in this country.
I really hate democrat party voters.
