Newsom and Texas sheriff 'compare notes' on possible DeSantis prosecution

LOS ANGELES - California Governor Gavin Newsom met with Sheriff Javier Salazar of Bexar County, Texas, to "compare notes" on possible criminal charges against Florida Governor Ron DeSantis.

Newsom made that revelation during an exclusive interview with Elex Michaelson for FOX 11 Los Angeles' political show "The Issue Is:"

"I met with him to compare notes yesterday because it is exactly the playbook that DeSantis and his staff to send migrants to California," Newsom said.

Gov. Gavin Newsom and Sheriff Javier Salazar In September of last year, 49 migrants traveled from Texas to Martha’s Vineyard thanks to funding from DeSantis.

In June of this year, three dozen migrants flew to Sacramento-area airports with DeSantis’ support.

Newsom said that Salazar was "disgusted [with] what Ron DeSantis did, coming into his jurisdiction under false pretense and deceiving kids, not just kids, adults, and sending them on an airplane to Martha’s Vineyard."

Newsom continued: "I find it not only disgraceful, I think there’s grounds, not only to investigate but to potentially initiate some form of accountability. The Sheriff wants to see that from the D.A. in Texas and we’re pursuing that with the Department of Justice in this state."

In early June, Salazar’s office issued this statement as they filed charges.

"The charge filed is Unlawful Restraint and several accounts were filed, both misdemeanor and felony."

They did not name a specific suspect. It’s unclear if they are targeting DeSantis himself or someone in his office.

"At this time, the case is being reviewed by the DA's office," the statement read.

I know exactly when that picture was taken. Trump has a long wonderful history with Newsom.

President Trump will pardon Ron DeSantis.

Judging from Trump's attacks on Ron, I think it more likely that Trump will throw him to the wolves.

Newsome seems like the the kind of governor that might try restrain persecuted Californians from fleeing that state. Perhaps someday soon some version of his efforts against DeSantis might be applied against himself.

We have seen Trump forgive people their trespasses as long as they show a serious attitude change like with Kevin McCarthy. Needing a pardon from President Trump will do that.

Someone must have decided that Calif. would be a sanctuary state or at least have sanctuary cities. He seems like the one to take the hit & admit he was wrong or shut up & accept the consequences.

“The Sheriff wants to see that from the D.A. in Texas and we’re pursuing that with the Department of Justice in this state.”

The stupid is strong with this pack of prog.

Newsom and Sheriff Javier Salazar want “the D.A. in Texas,” Ken Paxton, to go after a Governor of another state.

Not just any Governor but one closely aligned with most conservative values.

And not just anyone but the actual Texas DA Ken Paxton

Yeah, that’s right, the very same Texas DA Ken Paxton that another pack of progs is trying to put in jail and have been trying various schemes for the past eight years to get Ken out of the picture (well, except for this attack on an out of state Governor it now seems.)

So once again we have a classic example of Prog Step 1 thinking

.

Prog Step 1 thinking...

Like so many other prog plots they fully expect their target to just stand with their back against a wall while they throw knives at their leisure.

Never mind that one pack of prog is trying to put Ken in jail while another is demanding he attack a mostly conservative Governor of another state.

.

Prog Step 2 thinking...

uhhh, there is no Step 2, progs seem to not be able to plan that far ahead.

But it is fun predicting their (lack of) strategy.

.
