Bullying would be what Russia is doing to Ukraine today, and what Russia did to Hungary in 1956. We’re not invading Hungary, let alone annexing it. Heck, we could probably get Hungary expelled from both NATO and the EU. We’re not doing that either. Hungary is free to buy Chinese or Russian arms. There is literally an entire world of alternative arms suppliers out there. Hungary is free to avail itself of those opportunities.

Yes. But then Hungary would become dependent on those nations for spare parts. Hungary would be crazy to do that.
The bottom line is that Hungary is America’s friend and ally. Such a country should be punished only under extreme circumstances. We don’t have that here. It’s not even close.

We are bullying Hungary into supporting Sweden’s entry into NATO.
Hungary should be free to choose if they support that or not.
The US is absolutely no different than the USSR in this matter while “pretending” to respect Hungary’s independence.
