Yes. But then Hungary would become dependent on those nations for spare parts. Hungary would be crazy to do that.
The bottom line is that Hungary is America’s friend and ally. Such a country should be punished only under extreme circumstances. We don’t have that here. It’s not even close.

Leaning Right: [The bottom line is that Hungary is America’s friend and ally.]
Hungary is Russia’s friend and ally, not just in word, but also in deed, by backing Russia’s invasion and annexation of Ukraine. That would be Russia, a country that also has thousands of nukes aimed at the US. Hungary is free to be friends with whomever it wishes. But to expect relations with the US to remain as they were, while allied with an existential threat to the US, is simply unrealistic.

The bottom line is that Hungary is America’s friend and ally. Then why are Brussels and DC sanctioning and attacking Orban? why are they declaring his government is "non-democratic?" Why is the CIA-USAID there spending $300 million to aid "new media" and "democratic elements" there?

Hungary as in the Hungarian people most definitely are Americas friends and allies.
However, Orban seems to be obligated to Putin somehow. Perhaps Putin has something on Orban
