Poll: Trump’s Lead over Republican Primary Field Jumps After Indictment, DeSantis Sinks to Teens
Breitbart ^ | 13 Jun 2023 | HANNAH BLEAU

Former President Donald Trump’s lead over the Republican primary field has grown even more in the wake of his indictment, this week’s Morning Consult survey revealed.

This week’s survey was taken June 9-11, 2023, following Trump announcing that he had been indicted as part of Special Counsel Jack Smith’s investigation into his handling of White House documents. Notably, this survey was also take after both former Vice President Mike Pence and former New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie jumped into the presidential ring.

Even with more official challengers joining the race, as well as an indictment, Trump has expanded his lead to 59 percent. That reflects a three-point uptick from the 56 percent he saw last week.

DeSantis, meanwhile, has experienced a three-point drop over the last week, going from 22 percent support last week to 19 percent this week. In other words, Trump has increased his overall lead from 34 percent last week to 40 percent this week.

This is particularly negative for DeSantis, given that he did not experience a significant bump in this particular survey last week, either. While critics say Trump’s lead is still smaller than the 43-point lead he held in mid-May, Morning Consult’s Eli Yokley observed that “much of that dip came before DeSantis officially began his bid,” as Breitbart News noted last week.

“Almost 1 in 5 (19%) support DeSantis, nearing an all-time low since tracking began in December,” Yokley noted this week.

No other individual listed came remotely close to Trump. Pence experienced a one-point uptick, going from seven percent support last week to eight percent this week.

Republicans defended former President Donald Trump after the Justice Department handed down news of an indictment Thursday evening. https://t.co/LlwWjxMlKa

This article itself claims Trump is neck and neck with Biden. And is the best of the Republicans in same.

81 million votes, 10 million more than 2016....That is despite votes lost, switched to Biden attested to by poll workers etc. Your premise doesn’t fly.

I have not seen any polling on the general election
or state by state breakdowns.

***********

To a degree it is designed that way thus they have a lot of
back and forth input/articles to keep the money flowing
into their coffers for a longer period of time. jmo

I would have expected to see Chris Christie rise much like a hot air balloon.

There she sat on Barack's right side as bagpipers played and an honor guard folded an American Flag. You know how it's done… with reverence and respect, folded precisely and crisply… honored. It was during that moment that our nations "First Lady" leaned to her husband's ears and asked the question that should set your TEETH on fire!

"All of this for a damned flag?"

When Barack nodded, she sat back and gave a look of disgust. HE doesn't show the least bit of surprise at her question!!

There is no audio but you can clearly read her lips. How do we know what was said? The video was presented for translation to a lip reading instructor at The River School, a Washington D.C. school for the deaf.

The indictment is an insurance policy for Biden.

He knows, at least those around him know, that he is already unpopular. We are overdue for a recession, likely a very bad one. Trump is likely to win. Possibly big. He is already up on him in many polls & poling close in even Leftwing polls.

If Trump wins, he will pardon Trump. That gives him political cover to pardon himself, his son, his whole family & everyone involved in the Deep State Coup.

He will say it is a healing for the nation.

If he wins, he can do nothing. Let it run it’s course.

Quite honestly I don’t see haw it survives a motion to dismiss. The indictment is so bad. It violates Article II the 1st, 4th,5th, 6th & 14th amendment. It ignores the PRA & shoehorns a charge under the Sedition Act (which is completely unconstitutional in it’s own right) & has no authority to be used on a POTUS who IS the Executive & IS the CIC.

It’s a disaster & Jackass Smith & his entire cadre of Criminal conspirators should be disbarred for this blatant attack on ‘Our Sacred Democracy’!

Don’t hand me the fraud - he should be popular enough to make fraud obvious. It wasn’t last time and likely won’t be again.

The fraud is obvious, for anybody who looks past the places where the mention of fraud is forbidden.

And it will happen again in the swing states, because of people like DeSantis who think that we must move on.

Trump will carry the Republicans no matter what. How is he doing with the independents. He needs both to take out the Dems.

It’s bad that he’s tied. Especially if you think massive fraud will go on.

Trump is not as popular as you all think, and is hated. Hated. Not merely disliked or disagreed with vehemently, as any Republican is, but hated (I wonder why?). People will vote AGAINST him and if there is fraud, that makes it easy when it is too close.

Ask yourself why he is tied with Biden? That is real bad. I mean, I thought 2020 would be easy because who could want a doddering old fool like Biden? No enthusiasm! But yet they were statistically tied, fraud or not. That is not good. Most likely, commies were enthusiastically voting against Trump, spurred more by all the gains they made that year with everyone rolling over for COVID and endless riots.

Trump will not win, and it won’t be because non-lovers will sit it out.

“Don’t hand me the fraud - he should be popular enough to make fraud obvious. It wasn’t last time and likely won’t be again.”

One thing the left had going for their fraud machine last time was Covid as an excuse for mail-in ballots. There will be more people voting in person, sans another bio-weapon release before election day....and ergo, less opportunity for “trucked in ballots” supposedly from the mail. Their fraud machine will have to be vastly ramped up next time to compensate for that. Add to that the fact that many ‘more’ Americans are now aware of just how vast their election theft fraud was.

And I disagree that the fraud wasn’t obvious last time. It was blatantly obvious, even on election night, to anyone with a still-working brain cell.

The main purpose of the indictment is to insure the nomination of likely-loser Trump. The secondary purpose of the indictment is to try to destroy Trump, but the Presidential records act will probably protect him.

If President Trump is a “likely loser”, DeSantis will be absolutely Crushed by any Democrat Nominee.

BOOM! You nailed!!
