DATA: Over 25% of Republicans Will NOT Consider DeSantis, Just 14% Say No to Trump

Over one-quarter of Republican voters – 27 percent – will not consider voting for Governor of Florida Ron DeSantis in the upcoming Republican presidential nomination race. Comparably, just 14 percent of Republican voters say they would not consider supporting Donald J. Trump.

The data comes from CBS and YouGov, and sampled a hefty 2,480 U.S. adults between June 7-10th, with a 2.7 percent margin of error.

Though considered by many to be Trump’s toughest opponent, Trump and DeSantis are almost as far apart from each other as DeSantis and Senator Tim Scott, who is polling third, 15 points behind DeSantis, with 42 percent of Republican voters unwilling to consider him.

Indeed, DeSantis’s campaign has hitherto failed to get off the ground. Florida’s governor is yet to see his net approval rating increase since he declared his candidacy in the race.

Other Republican hopefuls lag far behind. In fourth is Vivek Ramaswamy, with 56 percent refusing to consider him, Nikki Haley at 57 percent, former Vice-President Mike Pence at 60 percent, Asa Hutchinson at 73 percent, Doug Burgum at 73 percent, and Chris Christie at 79 percent.

The full results can be read here.

“In other words, you won’t defend him. Okay, thanks.”

Let’s go down the memory hole:
The Russia, Russia, Russia Hoax, Impeachment 1, Impeachment 2 and Special Prosecutor Investigation…..

Was Trump wrong March 2017, when he accused the Obama/Biden Administration of spying him?

Name a recent POTUS who was as successful as Trump? Look at what Trump accomplished for the majority of Americans:

Gas price per gallon was about $2.30;
Inflation about 1.4%, mortgage rates were half of what they are now;
Unemployment was low before Covid and before Blue Governors shut everything down and we were in the midst of a V-shape recovery until January 22, 2021;
Tax decrease; tax laws promoted small businesses as well as large;
US enjoyed energy independence - No Green Agenda, no war on energy, No Paris Treaty;
No war in Ukraine, no threat of nuclear war, NATO paid its way;
China was quiet and we were winning the trade war;
US companies were bringing home well paying jobs due to well executed tax treatments;
Peace in the Middle East aka Abraham Accords; US Embassy moved to Jerusalem; and Iran was isolated.
Got three non-left “I don’t know what a woman is” Supreme Court Justices on the bench allowing Roe vs Wade to be overturned.

Who the heck can accomplish the above in four years while being impeached twice and investigated by Obama’s Weaponized Agencies?

Due to simple minded voters, elections are allowed to be stolen (i.e. 2020 Arizona, Georgia, Michigan, Wisconsin and Pa.), wildly corrupt Democrats and RINOs legislate without accountability and Freepers like you dump on Trump.

You are in my favorite category of The Dump Trump Chumps.

The only other great president we had since I could vote was Reagan.

He presided before the current crop of politicized wokesters. And the full leftist take over of our fibbies, the entire security state and the bureaucratic state wasn't close to being the power it is today.

He got a lot of great things done.

IMHO Trump was on track to being even better before the steal. Neither have been perfect, but both were great.

Trump would be our best bet in dismantling the leftist takeover of our institutions. Warts and all, he's our best bet to take them down and change the direction of this floundering mess we have.

He is going with some Disney taxpayer wealth redistribution and child rape.
Homosexuality is not a birth defect, or bad parenting. It is grooming and child rape.

The ONLY TRUMPERS are as dangerous as the NEVER TRUMPERS.

“The ONLY TRUMPERS are as dangerous as the NEVER TRUMPERS.”

Really? What does that mean, exactly? Are you saying ONLY TRUMPERS and NEVER TRUMPERS are equally dangerous or equally not dangerous?

McCarthy is a mixed bag. I want to say good or bad but it’s probably good or weak.

He’s been a good surprise in some ways but we can agree that the debt ceiling was weak.

So work with what we have.

Both could cause the Republicans to lose. Candidates are supposed to pledge to support the eventual nominee. I will. But, will you?

It’s going to be Trump, so the whole discussion is moot. But assuming someone other than Trump won the nomination, it wouldn’t be a simple yes or no. It would depend on a number of factors, including who the nominee was, who was the Dem nominee, and whether or not Trump mounted a 3rd party candidacy.

If it were a choice between Hailey and RFJ Jr., for example, I would have to give RFJ Jr. some serious consideration. In fact, there are few scenarios I can imagine, where I’d ever vote for Hailey, Christie, Hutchinson, of Suarez, regardless of their opponent. If it’s DeSantis, I’d have to assess the situation and weigh the options. He wouldn’t get my vote automatically.

President Reagan was the third greatest POTUS after Washington and Lincoln

I agree w you about Reagan

We’ll never know whether President Trump would have cracked the top 5 or top 10 had he served 2 terms

Hopefully we’ll see Trump as President starting 1-20-25

So if some non-Trump GOP nominees won’t automatically get your vote were they to get the nom, would it be fair for people to similarly not automatically vote for Trump if he is the nominee?

Difficult to see how ABB (Anybody But Biden) is more dangerous than Biden.
