Are we never again going to elect senators or governors for POTUS? Are we now limiting ourselves to billionaire outsiders exclusively?

That's a good question. At this point in our nation's history, I'd say there's been a dramatic shift in favor of the "billionaire outsider" in a presidential race. I would make four points here that stack the deck very heavily against someone like Ron DeSantis:

1. I have come to despise lawyers in public office.
2. I have come to despise career politicians.
3. It's much harder to corrupt the billionaire.
4. Anyone who worked as a Federal prosecutor should be given the public respect one would give to a child molester.

This is the biggest reason I’ve supported Trump. But after the example that’s been made of Trump, billionaires may steer clear of seeking office.
