3. It’s much harder to corrupt the billionaire.


This is the biggest reason I’ve supported Trump. But after the example that’s been made of Trump, billionaires may steer clear of seeking office.

The only other billionaire I can remember seeking public office in the U.S. was Michael Bloomberg. He was mayor of NYC for three terms, but his presidential campaign was even worse than Jeb's.

Billionaires generally don’t run for public office. Instead, they bribe other misfits to do their dirty work. This is probably why there is so much resentment against Trump in Washington. He played both side of the political game over the course of his life, and that’s just a bridge too far for the corrupt misfits on the “bought” side of the equation.

Anybody in his right mind with any good reputation at all would steer clear of seeking public office. It is to the point that wanting it at all is disqualifying. What a conundrum.

Alberta’s Child makes four very valid points, especially the last one and first one.
