Vivek Ramaswamy: I Would Pardon Trump If Elected
Breitbart ^ | 06/11/2023 | Pam Key

Posted on 06/11/2023 7:28:33 AM PDT by ChicagoConservative27

Republican presidential candidate Vivek Ramaswamy said Sunday on CNN’s “State of the Union” that if he were elected president that he would pardon former President Donald Trump if convicted in the Mar-a-Lago documents case.

Anchor Dana Bash said, “So before you heard any details of the allegations in the Trump indictment, you put out a statement saying if you become president, you would pardon Donald Trump on day one. Now you’ve seen the allegations, and you’ve seen that he stored highly classified information like nuclear secrets and others in unsecured areas of his country club. Given everything that you’ve seen, do you stand by your promise to pardon him if he is convicted?”

I would make President Trump my Attorney General and watch the sparks fly!

Exacty my thoughts! Most of those running are in it primarily for a cabinet post, but Vivek seems to deserve it!

He ate that stooge administrative state media shill Dana Bash’s lunch.

Conservatives frequently make such claims of "X ate Y's lunch". But in this case, I have to admit, it is true. He wiped the floor with her. A case of mismatched IQ if I ever saw one.

Good points. Like a boa constrictor tightening down on its prey, it will only get worse. New dystopian laws are being proposed that will force sex changes on children and jail parents for their opposition and we are talking about elections?

If he was VP, would Vivek Ramaswamy shoot someone on a hunting trip in Wyoming? 🤓

I often wonder why so many folks, with no chance at the nomination, throw their hats into the ring.

Because if they're accomplished actors and can convince people they have a chance they can build up a nice war chest of campaign donations that they can keep - I'm sorry, give to a foundation run by a spouse, child, cousin, or friend - after they lose.

Think of it as a retirement plan.

I want to like him. But I don't trust him. I'm starting to think of him as a plant.

He says all the right things. I mean, ALL the right things. He's throwing a lot of red meat to Trump's base, and a pardon is the meatiest of all.

I want to be wrong on this but I can't help but feel we're being played by this guy.

Reno, I don’t care where their ancestors came from! If a Native American and Asian were on the R ticket and they are America First, I’d vote for them. The anchor baby BS is out the window, because Obama won.

I like this man a lot.

Agreed. It’s one thing to hear a person parrot your beliefs. It’s another thing when he parrots your beliefs and gives concrete reasons for those beliefs. Vivek does the latter. He also has the ability to change people’s minds through rational arguments and discussions.

Obama was born of a US born citizen parent. That is completely different than an anchor baby of non-citizen parents, likely illegal aliens.

And one of my complaints about Obama was that he had dual citizenship,in fact, didn't even get a US passport until in Congress if I recall correctly. How many of these anchor babies are foreign citizens as well?

***Like a boa constrictor tightening down on its prey, it will only get worse***

It is the story of Hong Kong recently. Given The Joe's proclivity for greed, power and betrayal, we need to consider to what extent the Chinese control our country - which no one seems prepared to do. Even before attaining the White House, Joe is quoted as saying that the Chinese have the most efficient form of 21st century govt.

I can't help but wonder why considering the possibility is so taboo.

Then I began to think about DeSantis/Trump. What would it take for Trump to step aside, and endorse DeSantis?

*************

Trump said he’ll never drop out of the 2024 race no matter what happens. So Trump is staying in race until they try to take him out through assassination.

As far as endorsing that little ambitious punk from Florida.....”Ain’t Happening.”

The Trump vs DeSantis showdown is something the kid from Florida wants, so he’s going to have to go head-to-head against the Orange Big Horn Sheep.

Lolololo Trump step aside for DeSwamptis? So Trump is the only reason DeSwamptis is the gov, but now that the two-faced, back-stabbing, duplicitous weasel has tossed aside any decency or character to follow the establishment money and try to primary Trump, Trump should shuffle himself out of the picture? Good Lord. With a friend like DeSwamptis, you sure don’t need any enemies. Never mind the people of Florida who he promised to serve another 4 years and then quietly changes the law to secure his gov gig just in case. He’s a snake of snakes.

Trump represented the American dream and was well known to all. There’s no comparison between Trump’s run and Vivek’s. Nobody knew of Vivek, but I think he’s running to change that. I think he knows he cannot win, but it sure will catapult him into the political scene. I think he runs a financial business.....one that is against ESG scores. Not sure the name of it.....Strive?

This guy is such a Trump supporter. Why is he running against him?

He was asked that, and he pointed out what he described as "missed opportunities" as he promoted MAGA 2.0.

Self made rich guy who can think his way out of a paper bag. Most RINOs and 99% of Democrats lack that ability.

It’s a stupid question designed merely to imply that Trump is guilty of something (and Biden by further implication is squeaky clean). The right answer from Ramaswamy would have made it clear that the person asking that question is a fascist propagandist.
