The sensational federal indictment Donald Trump faces has stunned one of the former president's most famous supporters, Harvard Law Professor Alan Dershowitz.
Trump faces 31 counts over claims he illegally-stored highly classified government documents at his Mar-a-Lago country club. Jaw-dropping details of the charges against Trump were outlined Friday - and he faces a lengthy prison sentence if convicted. Trump will appear before a Miami court on Tuesday.
Dershowitz describes himself as a liberal Democrat, although he has previously spoken out against what he sees as the unfair persecution of Trump.
And in an exclusive interview with DailyMail.com, he said the new charges Trump faces are exceptionally serious. The author also warned that the former president's usual strategy of going on the attack could land him in even deeper trouble.

Right. So Trump could have just been “embellishing” for sake of the interviewer’s story....to make it more interesting? This whole case will probably boil down to ‘what’s the legal penalty for lying to someone interviewing you for an article or story’. Answer: nothing.
If not for the blatant corruption and desperation tactics by the left, the whole thing should only result in the negative public perception among the dumbed down masses, in order to taint Trump and tamper with the impending presidential election...again and still. Same ole play by the left, IOW.
But....problem is.... they’ve gotten more desperate to cover up the corruption of Obama/Biden re: Ukraine... and they have probably already bribed or threatened enough judges and lined up enough Trump hating jurists to make this case a slam dunk conviction.... no matter what the actual legal ramifications are.
Well, we don’t know exactly what was done, how it was done, when it was done. Prosecutors make all kinds of claims in charging docs leaving the defense to dispute them. But, Dershowitz is right, Trump needs to close his mouth about this and talk about the election.
And how about Joe Biden? He kept classified documents in cardboard boxes in his garage - doesn't quite meet the handling standards. Trump kept documents in a SAFE!
If the tape is true, yes, he definitely did. That's the whole point of the taped discussion being relevant to the case. You should read the transcript again, or at least for the first time, sounds like.

Personally, I think it's already too late to save this nation.. The fact that the rats got away with charging and sentencing the J-6 defendants, and nothing was done about the murder of Ashli Babbitt is proof of that. The election of 2020 is proof of that. Joe Biden sitting where he's sitting is absolute proof of that.!
Thanks to the work of the WEF the United States are no longer united. Like old cheese it's rotting around the edges. Which was one of the MAIN reasons Trump was elected President in 2016, to deal with this travesty, as Trump had campaigned on the promise to prosecute Clinton for it.
However, while he was still "President Elect" and had not even been sworn in as President yet, Trump shocked the world and said he had changed his mind, and didn't want to see the Hillary pursued for this, after all. Said he thought his supporters would agree, and didn't want to hurt the Clintons.
So Trump made the final decision to not prosecute the Clintons, for mishandling classified info, even though he was elected to do just that. I don't think any of his supporters agreed with him then, or agree with him now.
He's defended Trump countless times.

Yes, I know Biden and Hillary are criminals as well but that doesn't matter. Trump is the one facing prosecution, not them.
