You should NOT have resigned, Ron.
I don’t believe that Ron DeSantis did resign from the office of Governor. A special clause was written into the law that allows the governor, and only the governor, to run for another office, and not have to resign, unlike every other statewide office in Florida.
AFAIK, Ron is still Governor. Just a little failsafe built into the most recent action of the Florida State legislature.
He didn’t resign.
He changed the law in Florida so he could run for President and stay as Governor.
