SALEM, Ore. (AP) — Oregon’s attorney general announced Monday she has begun investigating the board of directors of Fox Corp. for breaching its fiduciary duties by allowing Fox News to broadcast false claims about the 2020 presidential election — claims that cost the broadcaster almost $800 million in a lawsuit.
Also joining the investigation is Oregon State Treasurer Tobias Read, who oversees the Oregon Public Employees Retirement Fund, which owns more than 250,000 shares of Fox stock. Both Attorney General Ellen Rosenblum and Read are Democrats.

Don't have a lot of sympathy here, but if Fox had balls, they should fight this, including looking into and and all communications that suggest Oregon is coordinating with "other parties". Then make those other parties famous.
Now do Target. And Anheiser-Busch. And so many others.
More bad news for Fox. Awesome - pass the popcorn.
Here’s hoping every single day is an absolute hell for anyone and everyone involved with News Corp.
They’ve earned their fail.
Do the retirees and beneficiaries of the municipal retirement funds have STANDING to complain about the erosion of value?
When is someone going to investigate the AP for the bogus claims that Trump colluded with Russia to win the election?
Great point! Lawyers should be all over this fact, and be suing everyone I volved in spreading what they knew was a lie!
Our world is quickly turning into a litigation hell.
satan approves.
Personally, I don’t care what happens to FNC. Cable news is dead to me and quite honestly it will be dead to nearly everyone eventually. There are too many other sources of news and opinions that are highly profitable for the content maker. The big corporate middlemen are no longer needed. Exactly what purpose does FNC provide? Is it for people that are technologically clueless, and financially stupid? Sure, pay Comcrap in excess of $100/month for woke TV and biased news when you can choose from many free sources that have much better content.
Bannon’s War Room is on in less than 15 minutes. Does not require cable. Use your existing internet connection.
A couple of Soros mammies?
It is such BS. FNC was right there with the others ridiculing anyone who even raised the possibility of cheating
True, but now in order to protect ourselves, our side must countersunk just to stay in business. Perhaps if the ,eft start losing suits because of their dishonesty, they will think twice about suing the right. Right now the left are Lear ing that they can cripple companies for reporting things that they don’t approve of- and it’s gonna increase with each loss that fox endures. The left are turning lawsuits into lawfare.
[[It’s called freedom of the press. ]]
Exactly! But u fortu ately there is a war on right now to take, over the press and dictate what they can and can’t say. Th3 left want total co trol of the internet and blogs, and the news etc- even other nations s are vying for control of the net.
The 1st amendment doesn’t demand that someone be right or wrong, it just states that noone can subvert the right to speak with very very few restrictions (ie can’t I cite a stampede in movie theater by yelling fire when there is no fire- but it is allowed to yell fire if there actually is one)
One question for these lefties: Exactly when and where were claims of 2020 election fraud adjudicated to be false?
The politics of Oregon are run by silly women & men who think like women.
It’s kook & crazyville out here.
But, I’m guessing she won’t investigate the loss of a third of Fox’s viewers after Tucker’s firing...which is costing investors a ton of money.
Oregon’s Attorney General’s Office has 1,300 employees with over 300 being attorneys. Crazy!
This banana "republic" of ours is done.
But it was stolen... however this is what happens when you dont actually pursue the claims you make. They folded up shop quickly and clearly ran with their tails tucked between their legs as the public “backlash” grew. Sad state of journalism...with the resources they have someone looking to find the truth surely couldve but... the media has nothing to with journalism any longer.
