Bud Light has one course of action that might work, they won’t take it because of the backlash from the Transgender Crowd.
They need to fire anyone involved in the decision to hire Dylan Mulvaney as a spokesperson.
They need to admit they lost track of their purpose and betrayed their traditional loyal customer.
They need to publicly apologize for the decision and pledge to go back to their traditional advertising campaign.
Then after some time they could begin to regain their lost customers, it’s going to take a long time and during that time they need to withstand the backlash from the media and the transgender crowd.
AB-InBev needs to spin off Bud and Bud Light to a non-Woke buyer who runs an ad campaign that pushes the theme, "Don't blame the beer...blame AB-InBev's marketing team" and then markets Bud and Bud Light to their original customer base as innocent victims of a Woke company policy. Bring out the Clydesdales and other Pro-American icons.
The beer can be saved. But AB-InBev must pay for what they did.
Correction - they won’t do it because they don’t want those sweet sweet zero or even negative interest ESG loans from banks and venture capital firms to go away. Or have the ones they already got called in.
At this point I don't think even that would suffice. And you're correct, InBev is too wedded to the WEF's Gleichschaltung to risk running afoul of their orders on undermining Western Civilization.
Only a stockholder revolt would cause that to happen. There’s a reason why we have not seen the Nashville shooters manifesto and that is the reason AB brass are going to be tight lipped about doing the right thing.
Abolish the brand. If Budweiser needs to have a light beer in their lineup, create a new name and brand. Bush Zero or something.
Although even I have problems with such a name.
Even then, I think it will be tough. Few brands can turn around a public relations disaster like this. Coke did it after their New Coke debacle, but they moved very quick by bringing back the old Coke.
InBev needs to be financially destroyed.Next company will learn to stay out of cultural issues if they want to financially survive.
They could also can the obsequious pandering commercials about horses and Harleys. If they did what you suggest, then in time they could build a new customer base from scratch, like any other beer brand. But alas the pervert lobby won’t let them do that, and won’t let us forget.
You are correct but they are so afraid of the LBGT mob they will do none of those things. They didn’t even have the stones to fire the woman who cost them billions. She’s still on a paid vacation living in her 8 million dollar apartment in NY.
Or sell the brand to another company and get what they can for it before it becomes worthless. The new brand owners would need to have a very visible ad campaign in which they make it clear that Bud Light is now under new management.
“We’re the new Bud Lite” or some such slogan that sends the clear message that the brand no longer has any affiliation with the old management. Then follow up with a barrage of advertising that targets Bud Lite’s traditional customer base, once more.
Agree. However, I will not feel any sense of sadness were the brand to fail.
You are right about need to make very VISIBLE and PUBLIC apology for months. After 2-3 years, Bud just might be able to climb back up to some semblance of respectability. For now, I would not buy BudLight unless it was being VERY heavily discounted, and then I would not drink it in public.
