I couldn’t wait to get out of that political $hithole. You could get rid of 50% of the FBI and they could do their job just as well. Think I’m over exaggerating? During Covid 3/4 were sent home for as much as 6 months to sit on their thumb and pretend to do something. What changed? Nothing.
But what they are good at is lots of diversity training, a special emphasis group every month being celebrated, directors messages every month about some diversity issue, diversity hiring, creating a position for a senior executive as the head of diversity and inclusion (what do they do?)...
Between homo, feminist, black, Pacific islander, Latino, LGBTQ... I can honestly say 25% of my time was utterly wasted, doing junk for diversity or because some senior executive in DC lied, cheated, abused their powers, or leaked something again and now all the nugs in the field needed to receive “training” so that the director can show action fixing a problem.
I sometimes get asked if I miss it. I just say, “I’m glad I’m retired.”
