Several months ago, I wrote a column, “Why do you still hate Donald Trump?” and asked readers to give me a good reason why they felt that way. Over 99% of the responses to my query came from those who agreed wholeheartedly with the column. Only one response criticized Donald Trump, yet the writer did state that if Trump ran in 2024, he would vote for him again. Not one genuine, Never-Trumper or Biden supporter contacted me, and I found that rather puzzling.
Of course, the poor response could have been because I’m basically a nobody in the leftist environs and not worth their interest. But the column was published in American Thinker which gets a million users a month. The column was also posted on lucianne.com which also gets big traffic. In addition, the link to my column was inserted in an email campaign ad for the 2024 Trump campaign but I have no idea how many received that correspondence because the campaign never bothered to contact me for permission. If they had, I would have gladly approved it.
Posts on Facebook and Twitter also did not trigger any TDS minions to vent at me with a heartfelt defense of their opinions. Thus, I can only conclude that they cannot debate Trump’s negatives without resorting to juvenile personal insults. His tweets, his name-calling insults, his braggadocio personality do not count as oratorical substance in a debate about his presidential qualifications. To ponder on the worthiness of a presidential candidate, one must vet the candidate’s past performances at previous occupations.
The recent release of the Durham report that clearly exonerated Trump has actually not made any difference in the minds of the TDS cult. They still hate him and the syndrome is still powerful and...

Interesting…Trump didn’t get permission to use her column.
My cemetery org apparently worries more about permission to reprint small local news blurbs than Trump org does.
As usual, if there is any negative spin to post about any issue concerning President Trump, even if it is not truthful, or more important, lacking in context, you're Johnny-on-the-Spot to post it.

Did he do some great things to try and curtail the government and restore liberty? Yes. Again, another dishonorable and deceitful attempt by a DeSanctimonious supporter to minimize President Trump's OUTSTANDING RECORD OF ACHIEVEMENTS.
This is the standard M.O. of many of the DeSantis supporters here on FreeRepublic.
Just on the Economy alone, here is a pretty comprehensive list of what President Trump was able to achieve in 4 short years. Before the Coronavirus spread from China across the globe, President Trump helped America build its strongest economy in history. Median household incomes rose to their highest level ever in 2019, while the poverty rate hit an all-time low. Under the Trump Administration, more Americans were employed than ever before—160 million—and the unemployment rate fell to a 50-year low. The unemployment rates for African-Americans, Hispanic-Americans, and Americans without a high-school diploma all hit record lows, while the Trump “Blue-Collar Boom” saw wages grow faster for workers than for managers or supervisors.
After COVID-19 forced a temporary economic shutdown, President Trump signed the largest relief package in American history to protect workers and families from economic devastation. Under President Trump’s leadership, the American economy surged back to life within months, seeing record growth and job gains.

President Trump and his achievements. Almost all of that was related in some way or another to Republicans controlling both Houses of Congress as well as the White House in 2017 and 2018. Sure Trump played a major part but in no way does he deserve all the credit alone. Then once we lost Congress he kept rubber stamping all the Democrat written bills without hesitation, which led to catastrophe in 2020.

I am not involved in the daily FR flame wars and I made an honest post. I don’t know who I will vote for. But I can promise that your name calling, lazy spamming, and unhinged attitude does not help your candidate’s cause.

For the nomination, I understand, for the general election?I'll pick the person I believe will be most effective in the primaries, and we don't know yet who all will be running. In the general I will probably join the other battered-wife-syndrome Republicans and vote for whoever isn't Biden / Harris / Newsome.
