The “What’s Love Got to Do With It?” official video features a then-unknown Samuel L. Jackson aaannnd... my ex-husband!
The song itself includes one of the best ever mondegreens, i.e. misheard lyrics: “What’s love, but a second hand IN motion...”

She will be missed. Aretha was good but Tina was GREAT!!! Rivers Deep, Mountains High!!! Saw her, Ike and Ike’s Revue with the Stones at the Veteran’s Coliseum in Phoenix on Veteran’s Day back in 1969.

The record is credited to her and Ike, but he had nothing to do with it. Apparently Phil Spector paid him to go away.

Meant to say, in addition to my ex-husband. Didn’t mean to imply I was ever married to the now very famous actor. LOL.

If Ike hadn’t been such a stone-cold bastard she probably would have stayed with him. But he was a monster....

It’s OK, I certainly understood, lol. Also liked Chaka Khan, Jermaine Jackson, Wang Chung, and others from that era as well as I watched Solid Gold and America’s Top Ten with Casey Kasem, lol.

A true talent. And she managed to look and sound amazing no matter what her age.
She will be missed.
