"Nobody imagined it would go on this long," Schuhmacher said. He continued: "It seems random — it struck a nerve. I've never seen anything to compare it to, in all of the [consumer packaged goods] industry. It’s a real shock."

Whats that old 60s song? The first ones now will latter be last—the times they are a changing. AB blew it big time—go woke—go broke.

I also agree that they will just rebrand the Bud Light beer, introduce it to the market at a reduced price in hopes to draw in those previous drinkers, and gradually raise the price once people have gotten in the habit of buying that brand of beer. Stud lite? Lol

It’s shitty tasting beer anyway. Days now ancient ago when inclined to imbibe, I could not tolerate "beer" or liquor made with grain adjuncts. Had to be either craft beer or straight

I eagerly hope for and await the total and utter demise of Transheuser Busch. There’s such a plethora of much better beer out there.

Which is more important....
1) selling stock or
2) selling product
You might get someone to buy stock, but if you don’t sell product, then the investors will sell their stock.
Marketing 101, Don’t piss off your customer base.
If you do, crawl on your belly to get them back.
These people screwed up on a massive scale. Their own arrogance has killed them.

Agreed. I went back to the local microbrew and found they had tons of new stuff. I stopped buying Goose Island and will never purchase it again.

It has been funny watching them try to respond. First the emergency Clydesdale ad. Then the camouflage cans. Next is support for veterans or whatever that gimmick is. And no one is falling for it.

This article is hilarious. Some desperate journolist got this guy to go on the record and he managed tosay nothing they could use to punch down on conservatives.
In fact he framed it as a paradigm shift: "I've never seen anything to compare it to, in all of the [consumer packaged goods] industry. It’s a real shock."; and every single #MSM article before this has avoided framing this in historical terms of brand degredation elimination.

If someone wanted to take this next-level, all they would have to do is buy a ticket to some DM event, get a Bud Light from the bar, and put it in his hands and take a pic.
Double down.
You could crater the brand, take anything that starts with "Bud" with it (in fact, double down by putting a Budweiser can in his hands), just do. not. let. up.
