A top GOP donor who previously backed Donald Trump has announced that he will be supporting Ron DeSantis in the 2024 Election.
Hal Lambert, founder and CEO of Texas-based Point Bridge Capital, said he wants to "do a lot to help DeSantis win" amid strong speculation the Florida governor will confirm his presidential campaign in the coming days.
Lambert, who set up an exchange-traded fund named after the former president's Make America Great Again 2016 campaign slogan, MAGA ETF, and previously served on Trump's inaugural committee in 2016, told the New York Post that he decided to back DeSantis after meeting with him and wife in Florida three weeks ago.
Lambert said he was also put off by Trump's recent CNN town hall, where the former president continued to falsely claim the 2020 Election was "rigged."
"What voters who didn't vote for Trump in 2020 are going to vote for him this time based on his performance? I don't think anyone will," Lambert told The Post. "We can't talk about things from four years ago that can't be changed.
"Trump is going to have a difficult time winning the general election. The election won't be about Joe Biden's bad record. It will be a referendum on Trump instead."
It is reported that DeSantis will file paperwork declaring his presidential candidacy on May 25 to coincide with a donor meeting in Miami, before a formal announcement a few days later.

You and I both know he will not get a fair trial in NYC or Washington, so a guilty verdict is very possible.
If that happens, he will almost certainly get impeached.

That got me thinking - what if Trump were to shift gears (even slightly) and say “while the election of 2020 was a mess, it is done. I am focused on 2024 and fixing the things that Brandon has broken over the past 4 years.” I wonder if that would improve his chances in the general election.

That is all we are asking from Trump. We are not denying 2020 was filled with fraud, but talking about it non-stop will not win 2024.
I am talking in the context of impeachment.
Trump was wrongly impeached twice but was not found guilty int he Senate because enough Republicans hung with him.
If he’s convicted in one of the bogus criminal cases he’s facing, he will likely be impeached, enough Republicans will support it this time.
If that trail was held right now in the Senate, automatically 51 Senators are Democrats, only 16 Republicans are need to remove him from office.
Go down the list of the 49 Republicans in the Senate, Murkowski, Collins, and Romney for sure.
I could see people like Thune and Cassidy going along with impeachment.
If Trump is convicted in any of criminals cases, you only 8 more Republicans to go along and he would be removed.

Of the two, only DeSantis has actually signed into law the legalized murder of babies and did so with a super-majority in the Florida legislature.

I have watched the MSM do this since the Reagan years. It has caused our side to be better and more forceful in communications.
But it is frustrating that we do not have an independent media holding anyone accountable. We have partisan media that tells only what helps their side while ignoring anything detrimental to their cause.

First, DeSantis reduced abortions in Florida from virtually unlimited to 15 weeks and then to 6 weeks. That was the best he could get at this time.
Trump, on the other hand, called DeSantis' 6-week ban "too severe". Trump also came out to say he could negotiate a nationwide time limit that everyone could agree with.
So, while you think you are clever, the FACT is that Trump wants more abortions than DeSantis.
