The National Weather Service and storm chaser videos prove that there was a tornado outbreak in the Des Moines area on Saturday, prompting President Trump to cancel his rally.
Ron DeSantis political operatives blasted out on Saturday that President Trump canceled his rally due to a “small crowd size.” However, National Weather Service Warrings and storm chaser videos show a tornado outbreak that occurred in the Des Moines, Iowa region.
KCCI 8 Des Moines weather page lists all the tornado warnings that the national weather service issued for the KCCI 8 Des Moines Iowa, viewing area. At 7 pm on Saturday, the same time the Trump Rally was scheduled to start the KCCI8 reported, “New tornado warnings in Marion County between Pleasantville and Otley and in Pocahontas County, directly over the city of Pocahontas, are in effect until 7:30 p.m. The National Weather Service said a tornado has been observed in Marion County and rotation has been indicated on radar near Pocahontas.”
At 7:45 pm on Saturday, KCCI 8 Des Moines reported, “7:45 p.m.: A tornado warning has been issued through 8 p.m. for southern Palo Alto County and northern Pocahontas County, including Mallard and Curlew”
At 8:15 pm on Saturday, KCCI 8 reported, ” A tornado warning has been issued through 8:45 p.m. for northwestern Webster County, around Barnum. National Weather Service radar indicated rotation in the storm, which they said is capable of producing a tornado and could damage mobile homes, roofs, and vehicles. It’s moving north from Barnum at 10 mph.”
Numerous Tornado Warnings were also issued in the Des Monies region between 1:30 pm and 6:30 PM on Saturday.
Storm Chaser Corey Gerken posted a video of Saturday’s Knoxville, Iowa, tornado. Gerken described Saturday’s tornado as a “fantastic structure.” Knoxville, Iowa, is about 30 miles east of Des Moines.
Team DeSantis used a photo that Chris Nelson took 8 hours before the Trump rally was scheduled to begin and said Trump canceled his rally due to his crowd size. Team DeSanits lackey Bill Mitchell encouraged Nelson to continue pushing the lie.
In addition to the phony Trump rally claim, Chris Nelson, an outspoken DeSantis surrogate, has made numerous false claims.
Recently, Nelson falsely claimed that Ron DeSantis didn’t sign legislation allowing for the forced injection of Floridians with COVID-19 jabs, an issue previously reported on by National File.
Team DeSantis has yet to apologize to the people of Iowa for downplaying Saturday’s natural disaster.

I’m really tired of all the Republican internecine quarreling. This stuff isn’t convincing anyone of anything. It’s just turning everyone OFF.

It’s not turning me off.
Tell me, we know Trump was criminally set up, we know top officials in these government agencies were criminally undermining and attacking Trump and his associates, 24/7 for 7 years, and then attempted to destabilize and overthrow his administration, ALL of which totally influenced the last election. We know this.
And DeSantis’ response to all this high treason against Trump is to run AGAINST Trump?
Do you find that a bit odd?

Iowa tornadoes are no joke. We have relatives who live in Marshalltown, one of whom works at the Lennox factory.
In July 2018 there was a tornado warning and the plant manager sent everybody home. Half an hour later the plant was leveled. Hundreds of people would have died had he not done so.

I’ll make up my own mind. I don’t need to be urged toward an opinion by ‘news’ on the Internet.
I decide according to what an individual candidate says, what his or her actions say about them, and how I personally perceive their character.

Even when that "news" is packed with facts that reflect badly either on DeSantis or the people surrounding him?
How do you walk right past that and pretend it is not relevant?

Not asking me, but I think it is odd. Also, false claims by DeSantis people does not endear me to their candidate. It makes them look like Democrats.

Do you find that a bit odd?
...
Yup.
The only thing that makes sense is the Bush Wing needs to support an R again since the last R they supported was Jeb.
Who lost to Trump
So they had to really root for Hillary and then Biden..
There’s got to be an R finally that the Bush wing can get behind after Jeb screwed it up way back in 2016..
It’s a bad look for R royalty to have to keep rooting against Trump with Hillary and Biden..
They have their R this time..
To: SoConPubbie
Have you seen how much ‘news’ has reflected badly on Trump?
I just pay no attention. It might help you to relax a little, too.

Because I don’t really care about your question. So your going to evade the legitimate question, because you don't care?
Wow...That's amazing. Just close your eyes and wish the question to the corn field....Very odd.

I don’t think I have any legal obligation to care about what you may WANT me to care about. As I’ve stated, I have my own ways of figuring things out.
Get yourself to the cornfield posthaste!

It was just a legitimate question which you opted to duck, dodge, dance around and evade. Your choice of course. No problem.

This sort of tactic from the DeSantis camp is destined to fail. We all know that it’s not in their best interest to make crowd size an issue. Who’s being paid to come up with this line of attack? Maybe they hired that Bud Lite exec to advise them on messaging.
