Nancy Mace: GOP Will ‘Suffer in 2024’ Because of Abortion Laws
Breitbart ^ | 5/17/23 | Pam Key

Posted on 05/18/2023 3:50:57 AM PDT by cotton1706

Representative Nancy Mace (R-SC) said Wednesday on CNN’s “The Lead” that the Republican Party will “suffer” in the 2024 election because of several red state legislatures’ abortion bans.

Anchor Jake Tapper said, “Do you think your party will face any sort of electoral blowback for these bans, many of which do not align with polling in terms of what people want, even in conservative states people want in many polls some sort of middle ground, maybe a 12-week ban, a 15-week ban, no ban for victims of rape and incest. Do you think your party will suffer at the polls?

Mace said, “We suffered in 2022, and I believe we’ll suffer in 2024 if we don’t have a message that shows compassion for women. You can balance the two. I would garner if you were to do a ballot referendum on abortion in a conservative state like South Carolina, the majority of voters would not be in support of a six-week ban that allowed very few exceptions for a short period of time and required women to have their rapes reported to the police. That’s not going to fly with most people, whether they’re men or women.

She added, “I saw this in my own district in a very purple district last year. I saw how the issue swayed voters. It was the number two issue in our race. I even ran TV ads talking about rape. I was probably the only Republican in the country who was willing to have that very uncomfortable conversation. I was willing to fight for women regardless of their circumstances, especially to the women who went through the worst.”

“As much as I dislike this woman….she is right.”

If we had free and fair elections we would know if this is true. Except we have no idea how the public voted or their true opinion. All we have is a media that hasn’t told the truth about anything, ever and people that believes these lies. I believe a large majority of people are certainly against abortion, especially past the heartbeat and pain stage. And republicans are too scared to fight this battle because they believe the media lies. Below is why we don’t know what the voters truly believe.

It is a fact that millions of votes were not signature checked.
It is a fact that numerous court actions and audits call into question systems used to cast millions of ballots in the 2020 election.
It is a fact that nine states and Washington, D.C. automatically send presidential election ballots to anyone on unclean voter rolls.
It is a fact that ballot counts and machine tallies are only as reliable as those in charge.
It is a fact that Drop boxes had no video monitoring or had their line of site blocked.
It is a fact Zuckerberg illegally paid out 400 Million Dollars for Dropboxes.
It is a fact that there is a vast far-left network of donation harvesters / money mules (all unemployed) donating to out of state campaigns like Raphael Warnock
It is a fact a femail Texas social worker charged with 134 voter fraud felonies just got 13 days in jail.
It is a fact 50 Intel Officials Fraudulently Signed the letter about Hunter’s Laptop.
It is a fact FBI meet with all social media companies to censor dissident voices and NY the Post.
It is a fact 100s of thousands of votes did not have a proper chain of custody.
It is a fact since February of last year, Los Angeles County, California, New York City, and North Carolina belatedly agreed to remove a combined 2 million ineligible people who shouldn’t have been on the voter rolls in 2020
It is a fact 100,000s ballot adjudications were done outside of two parties and not properly supervised.
It is a fact millions of ballots were mailed out illegally against state consitutions.
It is a fact In Michigan, Shiawassee County added 100,000 votes for Biden on election night that he didn’t actually get. Observers flagged the error and the tally was corrected.
It is a fact a lot of elderly care homes had 100% participation and some black precincts over 100%.
It is a fact that several precincts’ military voted 80% for Biden (never happened in history). Military votes Republicans.
It is a fact they covered up windows at counting centers so the public could not witness the vote counting.
It is a fact they used COVID to keep Republican election watchers ten feet away during counts in heavily Democrat areas.
It is a fact that Dropbox videos were illegally deleted in several states so reviews could not happen.
It is a fact that they set the machines alogirythm to kick out excessive ballots for adjudication and subject huge numbers of ballots to arbitrary change.
It is a fact in AZ 58% of the ballot tabulators failed logic and accuracy testing.
It is a fact in AZ Maricpa County according to “testimony of over 200 witnesses who were voters at vote centers, 59% of Maricopa County vote centers experienced severe malfunctions of tabulators.
It is a fact Pennsylvania failed to maintain accurate voter rolls per federal law. Other swing states too.
It is a fact vote rules were unconstitutionally changed without the state legislatures.
It is not a fact that Biden outperformed every living previous president in history by 20,000,000 votes. The clown could not draw a crowd of 50 and insulted blacks weekly.

So how do we really know if we lost the abortion fight. Trump won 2020 by at least a million votes in the battleground states.

I did no such thing, I pointed out your opinion obliquely asserts pro choice people are an all or nothing crowd unwilling to accept some compromise for “certain circumstances.”

I never said you can not have an opinion, just that your opinion wrongly implies all those against abortion are unreasonable.

Why do you post your opinion if you not like criticism of your opinion? Classic liberal tactic you just employed, teetering on a strawman argument as I never said you cannot have an opinion. Once again you make a baseless assertion, only this time after making it you then argue against it.

Winning is more important than life. That slippery slope has got us where we are.
Trump agrees with her. Winning is more important than babies being ground up like sausage.
If it’s trump who is pro abortion vs RFKjr.. well at least one isn’t a lockdown, big pharma, corporate crony guy.

The solution is simple:

First, be clear that abortion is a state issue and will be decided by democracy. Democrats oppose democracy.

Second, if you care about women, then stopping trans women from competing in women’s sports should be your focus. Thousands of young women are being denied records, awards and scholarships because men are winning in women’s sports. That goes against the purpose of creating and protecting women’s sports.

Go on the offense, folks!

Let’s say it’s 1858, and an anti-slavery Republican running for office in the South. He knows how vile slavery is. Should he accept slavery just to help his chances?

I’d say no. With some things there cannot be compromise.
Same goes with abortion.

But perhaps the candidate mentioned above can help to change things once he’s elected. So it’s not always so simple.

all i know is my daughters age group ( 40’s) who are actually mostly conservative in their view ( and all married women, btw) get their hackles up when they hear no exceptions. They will not vote R.
This decision should be between the parents and their doctor.

The Roe v Wade “law” was not law. It was an activist decision by the supreme court. Therefore, if it wasn’t law, what is Nancy talking about?

Removing an activist decision did not prohibit women from getting abortions. But, that abortion decision was not approved by the people or by any legislature. Therefore, it was the proper thing to do.

If judges can enact decisions which are treated as laws, what do we need the legislative side of government for? Besides, killing babies should not be codified in any form whatsoever. A law which permits killing of anybody, is the same as codifying murder. A similar decision could be made to ‘codify’ the killing of the elderly, and after 50 years or so of such a decision having been accepted, it would have a hard time being removed from ‘law’.

Nancy is okay on most things, but she is totally wrong on abortions.

Yep. 50 years and they weren’t ready to win. Make you think they would rather status quo and remain a windmill election issue.

The now settled matter of abortions is not the problem being faced.

Live progressives committing electoral crimes has nothing to do with abortion. The electoral destruction created by mail in ballots has naught to do with abortion.

Mail in ballots provide the un equals who lack the mental wherewith all to overcome the handicap of inferiority with the mean to steal elections.

So long as mail in ballots are permtted, America isn’t

If all sexually active men and women practiced birth control, 95% of current abortions would be unnecessary.

The GOP could preserve a lot of lives just by calmly and sincerely urging younger people to be more conscientious.

Women are fine with an economic Depression as long as they can kill their babies.

Mace was talking about state pro-life laws. So was Trump. Trump wants to take the “win” on SCOTUS sending to back to the states, but then criticize when states pass pro-life laws. At least Mace is closer to admitting she is pro-choice. Trump wants it both ways.
