Rob DeSanctimonious and his poll numbers are dropping like a rock - I would almost be inclined to say, these are record “falls.” The question: Is “Rob” just young, inexperienced and naive or, more troubling, is he a fool who has no idea what he is doing. We already have one of those in office, we don’t need another one. MAGA!

Isn't DeSantis the guy who promised he would serve out his term as Governor? Starting a presidential run with a lie isn't the best start. But, that is what I would expect from Bush 3.0.

I have not paid attention to politics until the last 10 years. Asked my dad about watergate and he told me his only mistake was that he was going to take down or dismantle the CIA or one of the agencies. Pretty much everyone knew it. The system took him out.

Actually the economy DID recover during Obama’s occupation of the Executive branch.

But it’s reality. Most Americans fared pretty well. Including many FReepers.
All Bidet needs is GDP growth, low or falling unemployment and inflation rates, and everything else doesn’t matter. The data are clear: Americans don’t like to vote out the incumbent when they feel good economically.

Correct. I’m all for smashing Democrats with clever remarks and zingers. Mockery can be an effective tool when done right.
But I’m against such things within the Republican Party. It weakens us and helps the Democrats. If you’re in the mood, please see my posts 34 and 49.

Wrong. Trump is merely treating DeSantis the way he treats all his opponents. Was Trump running scared when he hammered JEB relentlessly in 2016? This is no different. If you’re in competition with Trump, he’s going to hit you back, and hit you back hard - period. It’s the reason he was able to take out a field of 20 party backed opponents in 2016.

It’s fair to point that out. As I noted in an earlier post, Trump is not the only one doing this intra-party smearing. He’s far from alone. Other GOP leaders target Trump. Trump targets other GOP leaders. And we’re far from primary season.
Biden’s handlers must be quite happy about this.

Perhaps true, but if Trump loses a fair primary to DeSantis (maybe the only legit fair race this election season), then maga voters can eff themselves if they write in Trump. And if Trump loses the primary and doesn’t endorse the winner, he can eff himself too. I know that there will be one major party alternative to this demented maniac, and I will be voting for that person no matter what.
